O,33l fles gedeeld met jeroen op zomervakantie in 2014. Amber licht troebel met crème schuim. Geur rozenbottel en gist. Smaak is een tikkeltje alcoholisch met rum rozijnen. Medium body. JorgeLee (2117) - Greater London, ENGLAND - JUN 24, 2014
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Amber coloured bright beer with white head. Toasty malts, small hint of yeast, bitterness in finish. Quite clean tasting and pleasant enough. I didn’t quite get the point of this beer - if I want a toasty quaffable ale I can get an Alt or Amber at c5%, and if I want something stronger I get more complexity with any Belgian style for 8.5%, this kind of sits in between. (Bottle) Clear rich amber copper with excellent thick white head. Pleasant interesting aroma, mainly spicy and fruity with some complex notes. Medium body, well carbonated. Taste has a nice spicy bite, perhaps largely from the alcohol, from start to finish. This is overlaid on a nicely balanced mix of subtle toffee sweetness and tangy fruitiness. There’s some bitterness in the finish. Overall a very nice strong beer.
