Clear redbrown color, medium creamy off-white head. Aroma is sharp alcoholic, caramel malty and some vinegar, very weird. Pours a murky brown with large off-white head. Somewhat unusual aroma, raisins, citrus, dark malts. Flavor takes quite a bit of getting used to, and was extremely intense for the first few sips, with a sharp (think cheese) bitterness. Sour at times, lingering brown bread, black tea, and malt finish, lively carbonation. On the dark end of the biere de garde scale, not unlike a thin bodied dubbel as well. Winey aroma, notes of port and alcohol. Amber color, small head. Port wine flavor, light sharpness, medium body. Quite alcoholic. Astringent, sourly and hopbitter finish.
Bottle conditioned, from Beer Cellar in Lincoln . copper bronze, moderate off white head and aggressively high condition. Obvious alcohol in the nose with some Barley wine type maltiness. Full bodied and alcoholic but quite sharp in the mouth with the assertive co2 levels and an apple citric note. Dry finish with some maltiness, lingering yeast and mushroom notes.

Bottle has "order # 1001" stamped on the side, not sure if that’s botlling code or not. Amber with huge off white head, tiny carbonation bubbles, eventually fades to film, and a ring of bubbles. Quick swirl brings it back. Very yeasty bread and malty aroma, lots of caramel and toffee. Also getting some fruit, leaning towards raisin, hard to pinpoint. Flavor is sweet caramel malt up front with quick dose of fruit through the middle. Towards the finish alcohol shows up, alot more alcohol than I expected at 8.5% (maybe because it’s 9am). 330 ml bottle. Hazy orange-amber beer with a thick creamy off-white head. Sweet toasty malt, some peppery notes and a pronounced dusty character as well. Sweet, slightly fruity (apple/peach) and a distinctly earthy, UK-type of maltiness. Flavour is also quite fruity, soft but persistent earthy/herbal bitterness. Okay beer, but not great.
