Pours a cloudy golden color with a tall white head. The nose is primarily made up of sweet malt notes with some apple and pear fruitiness. A touch of yeast and very faint earthy and grassy hop notes. Tastes sort of just sweet and muddled. Mostly biscuit malt, bread, and a bit of toffee. Some fruit notes of apple, pear, and banana. A touch of alcohol and grassy hop flavor on the finish. Deep yellow, frothy head which dissipates. Sweet and lightly spicy aroma, corriander maybe. A tad fizzy on the tongue, but otherwise pleasant sweet light malty palate. Light grainy taste, wheaty even, and a very crisp bitter finisb. Slightly alcoholic, but not imposingly so. Dedollewaitor (16174) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2010
Bottle @ Paris. Thanks Kimber. Pours clear golden with a small white head. Yeast, fruit and paper. Some alcohol. Medium to watery palate. MiP (15920) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAR 22, 2006
Bottle. Sweet aroma, vinous, hint of spices. Clear golden colour. Semi-stable white head, leaving lace. OK flavour, but a bit anonymous. Quite clean for the style, with a little spici- and yeastiness. Medium bitterness, dry finish. Benzai (15743) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - SEP 6, 2012
33cl bottle @ home [thanks to my parents for bringing this from holiday] shared with Dutchdrebus. Clear golden color, small off-white head. Smell malts, some sweetness, lightly a hint of sweetish wood. Taste malts, lightly sweet, a hint of hops. Low to medium carbo, a bit low bodied for a 7.2%ABV beer, but quite decent overall.

Bottle, c&c, from Ledger’s. Pours golden amber with a large frothy white head. Aromas of light stone fruit and yeast. Medium body with frothy, biting carbonation. Flavor is lighter fruit, a touch of malt sweetness, with some astringency. There is some earthiness, but it is very well covered. So it’s more ale than biere de garde. Leaving that issue it’s a very tasty and drinkable beer. It’s far from sweet, and the bitter is not strong. It’s just pleasant. Ratman197 (14958) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUL 9, 2008
750 ml corked and caged bottle poured a clear gold with a lasting off white head. Aromas of straw, fruittiness and light spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of straw, apple, light spice and a hint of citrus with a crisp dry lightly bitter finish. gunnfryd (14956) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 13, 2007

Bottle sample at a tasting at Ariel’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Clear golden. Aroma of fruity esters (lots of apples, some other fruits), some spice, a bit of perfume, and an alcoholic note. Mildly sweetish flavor, fruity, mildly spicy, with a bitterish finish and a bit of alcohol. Medium-bodied. imdownthepub (14745) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2005
Bottled, 750 ml corked, filtered. Golden amber with light bubbly head. Blonde and hoppy, a delightful French Biere de Garde, which is not something I normally say. Emphasis on hops, or houblon in French, dry and bittering. I really enjoyed this.
