Bottle, courtesy Tony at Oldsmar Tap House. Clear golden pour, fizzy white head, lasting white lacing. Big wheaty malt aromas, gummy, dry, carbonated, some apple, dry citrus and wood. Flavors of full wheat and some hay and grass, lemon. Smooth body that has a sticky mouthfeel, drinkable, refreshing. Mangino (1027) - Mississippi, USA - OCT 4, 2005
Pours a clear golden color, small white head. Aroma of lemonn, hay, grass,. Flavor is belgian yeast, mint, lemon, astringent kick to it, bitter almost sour finish. fantti (1023) - FINLAND - NOV 27, 2013
BeerRenter76 (1017) - Texas, USA - MAY 9, 2017
Originally rated on 1/9/09. My first biere de garde, La Goudale poured a mid yellow, lager like body, with a slightly off white cap, flecked with the occasional spice, it leaves decent lace. Aroma is slightly fruity like apples, with some musty yeasts. Flavors of apple, grass, spices, and a little malt. Overall a decent beer, i wouldnt mind trying another of this style sometime in the future. dreadnord (1012) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 28, 2013
Pours clear golden yellow with a very small white head. The nose is straw, corn sugar, light spice like cloves and cardamom. Pastries. The taste is mostly sweet, with a mild tart and a mild bitter. The mouthfeel is crisp and clean, the body is light and finish is long. Tastes better than I expected.

Pours a weird clear yellow orange gold with a healthy white head The nose is sweet, very very sweet. Sweet like corn, reminiscent of High Life. A little bit of spice... maybe skunked light hops? Maybe some apples... weird. The mouth is as thin as this beer looks, moderate CO2, not a lot going on. The flavors are about in line with everything else. Sweet and lacking substances. Theres some spice, like I said about the nose, but its mostly dead hops I think. Cloying sweetness lingers. I just dont like this one. Despite the sweet spot I have for High Life, I just dont like this beer! MPA (999) - Amager (form. Nørrebro&Aalborg), DENMARK - MAR 26, 2017

Wow. My perception of French beers as largely mediocre was hardly raised by this product. Not much here, and with a style as wide as Biere de Garde I expected some element that was extreme or at least interesting, and I didn’t really get it from this beer.
Appearance was good-enough, with a golden color and a whisp of white head. Aroma was lightly citrus-y and grainy but didn’t have much to it. Flavor was similarly non-descript and even more absent than the aroma. Mouthfeel was unremarkable. Not a lot here, good or bad.
I can’t say I’d go out of my way to get this beer, nor will I recommend it. Derbeth (965) - Kraków, POLAND - JUL 5, 2017
Bottle. Golden colour, clear, rocky head with poor lacing. Aroma is malt, wheat, grassy hops. Light bitterness, not sweet. Medium body, lively carbonation. Too similar to lager, but not bad.
