2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Frothy steady head. Sweet and malty, slightly syrupy. Strong in alcohol which is quite apparent. Aromatic - but not in an entirely positive way.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Yields an amber-golden color with a medium sized, froth, white head.
Smells of flowery, slightly tart yeast with a hint of wet grass to it, coated up by white bread dough. Reveals a subtle clove and pepper spice note once the beer warms up.
Has a medium carbonation, which turns up the volume after the swallow, finishing effervescent and refreshing with a noteable warmth, once the liquid goes down to the belly.
Tastes of calming white bread malts with an uprising, biting spiciness, inheriting a sweet, sugary note, opening up the palate to cakey malts. Finishes with rock sugar, bitter cardamom and dried herbs among an aqueous softness.
Tastes like a lighter Triple, which got a prominent spiciness to it, defining the taste while the beer remains pleasantly refreshing.

Pale golden colour. A sweet and very yeasty Biere de Garde. Too much yeast and too little fruit for my liking.

This beer was sampled at Pitonkatonks in order to celebrate the arrival of Facto, Buck Dich and Indiana Red. This beer pours a golden color with a soapy medium white head and a nice degree of lacing. The aroma was full of yeast, hay, wheat and grass. Some smaller hints of lemon and malts. Flavor-wise this was generally light to medium bodied with a typical yeasty flavor mixed in with orange, citrus and paper. Yeah, there was also a tape-like aspect to this beer. Yeasty, orange peel and mild lemon aspect, perhaps a note of ginger as well. Mild to excessive carbonation with a note of alcohol. Not bad at all, but basic as one would expect.

Great beer. Lovely appearence and lots of estery flavours with a nice bitter finish. Alcohol in this is well balanced in this one and has a nice cleanliness to it which makes this a very pleasent beer indeed.

wet hay and lemon in the nose of a very pale gold, clear bodied beer with a thin ring of white fiz on the edge of the glass. a straw like flavor with some spices and sweet lemon. i thought the abv was strong, but i couldnt nail down if it was the spices or the alcohol that i was noting. a lite, easy to drink beer with a very dry finish.

From the tasting notes. Bottle. Pours clear golden, white head. Tart and fruit. Not bad. Different than the current american range of bad Biere de Gardes.
