750 ml. bottle. Amber colour with a persistent head, lace and ring all over. Smell of honey, chocolate, caramel, ripened fruits and brandy. Medium to full body, it pass through your tongue very easily, but leaving an alcohol feeling. Taste is alcoholic, honeoy, fruits, caramel, flowers and some chocolate.

Couleur ambrée caramel limpide, peu de bulles, fine mousse blanche. Nez de grains d’orge, caramel, biscuit, coriandre, finale légèrement orangée. La bouche est fortement maltée, caramel. Corps moyen, bien sucrée, faible carbo, faible amertume. Bière que l’on trouve facilement en supermarché, meilleure que la moyenne de celle qu’on trouve dans les rayons. Elle manque néanmoins de caractère et d’originalité.

wet hay and lemon in the nose of a very pale gold, clear bodied beer with a thin ring of white fiz on the edge of the glass. a straw like flavor with some spices and sweet lemon. i thought the abv was strong, but i couldnt nail down if it was the spices or the alcohol that i was noting. a lite, easy to drink beer with a very dry finish.

On tap at la gaiete in lille. Flavor is outstandingly well balanced for a bdg. Roasted and fruity notes come through with expected flavor of the type. Very solid beer.

From the tasting notes. Bottle. Pours clear golden, white head. Tart and fruit. Not bad. Different than the current american range of bad Biere de Gardes.

En snäll öl som förgyller strupen med lika delar sötma och beska. Påminner en hel del om Duvel. Definitivt en av de bättre i sin prisklass.

Butelka 750ml. Na mojej tylko 6 abv zamiat 7,5? Bursztynowy kolor biala obfita piana. W zapachu slody i owoce. W smaku czuc drozdze i owoce orzechy. Lekki cytrusowy posmak ktory nie oslabia jednak slodkosci tego piwa. Jak na produkt abbey podobny i za tak niska cene piwo naprawde dobre. Sprobuje przelezakowac z dwie butelki i ..zobaczymy.

Acetobacter (816) - Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Enjoyed from a 750ml bottle in an elongated tulip glass. The beer pours a light amber color, with a moderate off-white head. The nose shows some initial skunkyness, before transitioning to more inviting aromas of malt and subtle Belgian/Continental yeast esters. The palate replicates these items, showing Germanic malt sweetness in the approach and mid-palate, before some estery notes; the latter falling short of Trappist proportions, but fairly noticeable, just the same. Carbonation seems slightly low, but this may be more a matter of personal preference, rather than stylistic error. The finish leaves a restrained malt/ester note. Overall, a seemingly stylistically accurate beer that is pleasant, but also fairly unmemorable.

Flanfl (801) - Lyon, FRANCE - MAY 15, 2015
Bottle. Clear golden aroma. Medium white head. Light caramel and grass aroma. Flavour of sweet malt, caramel notes. Some citrus toward the end that kick a medium bitter finish. Sessionable and actually much better than the ingredient list sugest. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
