Gaymers County Range.

This cider is crafted to reflect the character of the best cider apples of Somerset. Its is therefore, a classic Somerset Cider: Bittersweet apples flavours combined with astringency from natural tannins.
Somerset County is a light amber cider with aromas of green apple and lime. A lively and refreshing mouthfeel that combines the fruit flavour with a little dryness in a medium length fruit hit.

Bottle at a ChrisO Tasting - London. Pours clear gold with a few bubbles for a head. Nice apple nose, light funk and sweat. Good flavor, light dank and juicy apples, mild dryness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Dryish finish with pleasant apple notes, not too sweet, very lightly dank. Good cider overall.

Pleasing, orchardy nose with a hint of spiced apple promise. Pours a pure cider gold. Flavour is well balanced, sweet and gently sharp. The lingering flavour is medium dry and moreish although the mouthfeel is a little thing so it doesnt hang around for long. Quite nice.

Well balanced between sweet and dry. Served cool in a small glass, It was quite refreshing and had more flavour than the other Devon version that I tried.

Bottle from Saintsburys, Halifax. Paler golden colour. Crisp enough in the palate with a dry texture where the apple flavour lingers long. Fair aroma of the fruit.

Bottle from Rhythm & Booze in Brigg. Gold, no head and low condition. Trace apple fruitiness and a touch of oak in the nose, muted sweet apple noes in the mouth with a faint hint of barnyard and a little tartness, a little dry bitterness creeping into the otherwise fruity finish.

The full ’heritage’ treatment here: sepia photograph of Glastonbury Tor on the label. Gold and very gassy. Pleasant sweet aroma. Anonymous medium cider, not too sweet, with a slight dryness. It refreshes adequately.
