11.2oz bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small fizzy head. Decent lacing though. Smells of cherries and dark frutis; figs and plums. A very faint chocolate note as well. The taste has underlying notes of chocolate with cherries and dark fruit being most prominent. The finish brings out almost a woodiness that is hard to describe. Finished pretty clean with the alcohol well-hidden and barely detectable. Overall a pretty respectable brew and one that is good for cold winter nights.

Bouttle. High fluffy white lasting head. Hazy orange body. Powerful coriander aroma with a fruity note. Oranges coriander flavor with a nice hoppyness, high carbonation and a long bitter aftertaste.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark reddish copper colour with a thick, slightly off-white head. Aroma of caramel malts, mint and nuts. Flavour of caramel malts, bread, mint, coriander, nuts and some hops. Medium bodied, very smooth mouthfeel and a slightly warming, sweet, nutty finish. Christmassy and quite pleasant.

Bottle. Pours with a hazy brown body and a small off-white head. Aromas are spicy, phenols, medium esters, 4VG (clove), cardamom, medium malt, light oxidation. Seems slightly spicier than just yeast based phenols. Flavors are bready, malty, spicy and a bit boozy. Cinnamon and brown sugar. Light oiliness on the palate which suggests additional spicing to me (who knows). Lively bubbles, probably last years batch (feels like there is a bit of mileage on this beer).

Draft @ Moeder Lambic, Fontainas. Couleur cuivre, col beige.

bottle pours hazy amber, fizzy white head. Impressive aroma, lots of camomile and hints of Belgian yeast (champagne?), mild note of malt. flavor, light malty profile, followed by a refreshing herbal/camomile palate that make this beer something very unique. Tea like finish, sweet notes of dark/brown sugar. Very reminiscent of FL’s St-Somewhere Lectio Divina. good seasonal that stays away from the usual all-spice notes.

33cl bottle. Murky deep brown color with a small head. Boozy mint aroma, almost like peppermint schnapps, but the flavor has decidedly more chocolate and less spice. Boozy and moderately sweet up front with a distinct coffee and dried fruit finish. Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Overal like a mint-chocolate shake or something. Interesting but I’m not a huge fan.
