Bottle. Pours a hazy brown. Looks much like unfiltered apple cider. Fluffy head that dissipates to a soapy layer. Aromas of yeasty bread, banana, toffee and spice. Flavors are toffee, fresh bread, nutty tones, spice, fruity esters and lack pepper. Wonderfully complex. Fruity and sweet and bready. Clean mouthfeel. UPDATED: DEC 29, 2016 As Noël des Géants, from gushing bottle it’s opaque amber-brown with a short off-white head. Sharp aroma is stewed fruit, candy sugar, alcohol, oxidized malt (wet paper), dried herbs, with off-notes of sweat, rubber, super glue. Effervescent and sugary with a clingy malt syrup and burnt pancake batter finish. Yucky caramelization and hot alcohols.

Bottle. Bottle was labeled Géants Noël des Géants . So it’s a Sunday in June and I’m at a friend’s lake house for a gathering and I’m told to help myself to anything in the cooler. I should add my friend is not a beer geek. So, in amongst the Harpoons and Sam Adams I spy this odd looking cap. Hello, what have we here. What a Belgian Christmas beer was doing in my non beer geek friends cooler in June I don’t know, didn’t ask. Anyway, poured a slightly hazed ruby/amber with a 1/4" beige head that didn’t lace much. Bejgian yeast aroma with candied dark fruit. Dates, figs, etc. Sweet flavor with a little bit of ginger. Still, main flavor was the dark fruits. A little bready. Liquid fruitcake. 11.2 oz bottle, terrible label. Hazy maplewood gold, lots of flocculent floaties, huge white head. Tangy, sweaty, witty aroma. Rich, yeasty, slightly briny, pithy bitterness, fermented fruit flavors. As Noël Des Géants @ 8.5% ABV. Pretty much a triple with some winter spice additions. Very sweet, with fruit/raison flavors, caramel, Belgian yeast, etc. I enjoy trying new Belgians, but the winter seasonals are not really my preferred style. Still a solid brew though regardless. bottle, vintage 2010. Deep brown with a foamy beige head. Chocolate, caramel, coffee, raisins and figs, some spices also detectable. Very christmasy.
