1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Good-looking murky pinkish body. Fusel, riesling-like cattiness, old grains and soda-pop nose. Stone or rocks reminiscent attempt at hoppy dryness. Poor palate, airy and highly carbonated carrying the leafy/papery flavors to the side of the mouth. I can only agree with many other raters, it doesn’t taste synthetic as much as chemical whether they used real fruits or not. More present yeast would certainly add character. Avoid imo, somehow tries to avoid the syrupy sweetness trap, but falls into an unknown offensive dryish unclean finish, spritzy, and drying out in an extremely mineral, almost metallic way.

This is a good Fruit Beer. Not overly fruity with some currant flavors. Finishes clean, crisp, and dry.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The first cassis beer I ever liked. But this is because it doesn’t taste like blackberries and I hate blackberries.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Deep purple brown. Small faintly purple tinged soda like head, mostly dissipating. Sweet grainy, wine like nose. Light bodied, steady carbonation. Faintly sweet. Has an artificial-ness to it. Tastes like it is spiced as well. Im not terribly impressed by this, yet it is quite refreshing. Perhaps on ice with some bourbon and soda.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Hazy orange color, short off-white head. Aroma of some malt and hop, very weak, some blackberry. Very watery taste, bit sweet. Slightly sticky palate. Very boring.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
33cl bottle. Pours purple-ish with a slightly pink head that dies quickly, leaving nothing but its memory. Earthy aroma that reminds me of elderberries a bit, so that must be the blackcurrant...but the aroma is very light. Finishes dry with a bit of bitterness. Like their Saison, I just don’t find much here. Mellow currant flavor and a bit of malt. At least it isn’t sweet is about all I can say. Completely unimpressive overall.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a two-finger bubbley white head that vanishes leaving no lace. Cloudy red color. Light-medium carbonation and light bodied. Blackcurrent nose. Starts and finishes with the blackcurrent flavor dominating, malt and hops are way in the background. Good fruit beer not very sweet. $2.80 for a 330ml bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours with a large, light pink head. The body is red with a little cloudiness. The aroma is light balsamic vinegar with some cherries and soap. The taste is lightly currant with some soapy undertones. Light taste of fruit that is not sweet at all. Needs more fruit or sweetness to balance the dryness.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Very disappointing. Aroma is promising with berries and yeast. Light red beer with a pink head; looks like a fruit lambic. Flavor of a low quality Belgian ale. Almost no fruit flavor. Light palate. I like fruit beers, but this is a disappointment.
