Lightly sweet, somewhat farmy, almost-but-not-quite-sessionable Belgian blonde. She’s well built but unlikely to blow anyone away. High marks for its cloudy, yellow-golden color and big, frothy, lasting head. Faint, sweet, malty aroma. Reasonable sweetness is still two steps short of cloying, checked by a light dusting of grassy hops. Somewhat thin, soft carbonation. Clean finish. She’s not complicated, let’s say, but she comes from good stock.

Bottle at Trappistenhuis, Gent 07-12-07 Pours mid golden in colour and a bit murky with a white head. A very assured beer that’s not overly spicy good yeastiness and drying on the end, quite impressive for it’s simplicity and a jolly decent ale.
