3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle into chalice, no bottle dating. Pours lightly hazy golden orange color with a nice 1-2 finger fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings to the glass, with a nice amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of pear, apple, grape, light orange zest, bread, honey, herbal, floral, light pepper, and light yeast spiciness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good complexity and balance; a touch muted. Taste of big honey, apple, pear, grape, light caramel, light citrus zest, bread, floral, herbal, light pepper, and light yeast spiciness. Lingering notes of light fruits, honey, caramel, bread, herbal, floral, and light yeast spiciness on the finish for a bit. Nice flavor balance and complexity; with a very malt forward taste with low yeast spiciness; and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a slick and lightly creamy mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is extremely well hidden with only a slight warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very good Belgian Tripel. Very nice flavor complexity with solid balance; and very smooth to sip on for 9%. Even though I prefer more peppery Tripels, this was very enjoyable. This likely had some significant age on it though.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A nice and dense, slightly sweet, really rich tripel. As advertised, plenty of malt character, with bread, caramel, and nutella on the nose. Light-bodied, crisp, and champagne-like. Dry finish and small-bead carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a dingy orange yellow with chunks and a head that will never leave you, even in your hardest of times. Aromas of big spicy herb, sweet grain, slight sour. Flavors medium to high sweet hay/grain, slight sour, slight spicy herb, slightly earthly. Interesting tripel as the flavors are noticeable different than many. Not to bad.

The christmas version is one of my first memory of Belgium, i bought the glass and is amazing.
Yeast, bit lemony, some hoppy notes, golden with a good head not very persistant, medium body, medium carbonation, alcohol is well hidden...not my favorite tripel but is a piece of my craft heart.
