Pours deep brown in colour, huge, really huge head, the beer was overcarbonated. Toasted malt, caramel, burned sugar and cheap coffee. Medium sweet, malty with light herbal bitterness and warming alcohol (in a pleasant way). Huge carbonation, bit painful on the palate. seynie (415) - Tienen, BELGIUM - FEB 5, 2016
Deep brown colour with a good fluffy head. Roasted malt, brown sugar, cheap coffee, some amaretto. No full body though, a bit watery. Bitter but mostly sweet pleasant finish with a bit too much alcohol imdownthepub (15530) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 31, 2016
Bottled, 330ml at Taverne Le Coming Soon, Brussles. Dark brown with cream head. Initially the is a drying, slightly vegetable maltiness along with a caramelisation. From there is a fruity character with a touch of chocolate bitterness. Reasonable beer. nathanvc (804) - Brugge, BELGIUM - JAN 1, 2016
Pours dark brown with a large, off-white foamy head that lasts. The aroma contains bread, coffee, vanilla and dried fruits. Not too strong in smell, though. It tastes medum sweet with a short bitter, dry finish. Lively carbonation and creamy mouthfeel. A nice brown. SaintMatty (7612) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - NOV 28, 2015

Dubbel named after the local dialect for hedgehog, with a thick, creamy head and malty profile, yeasty, dried fruits, sweetish with chocolatey touch, caramelly, gentle roasted bitter in the finish. Well-balanced. bonkiedeaap (850) - Leerdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 24, 2014
Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer has a dark amber to brown color and large cream colored head, with a lot of bubbles. The aroma has tones of brown sugar, sweet rum, vanilla, raisins and caramel. However this is noticable, the aroma is not very strong. The taste is sweet and is translated to some notes of yeast, sweet dark fruits and some bread. The finish is fairly matte and disappears relatively quickly for such pressure flavors. A nice one, but one I will soon forget, because it’s not very special. Trappist1 (646) - Diest, BELGIUM - SEP 14, 2014
brown with a brown fluffy head. fruity, earthy nose, nuts, raisins, some yeast but nose is spoiled with some unwelcome sharpness in the back, sweet liqueur. taste: bit of coffee, caramel, dark malts, full rounded, nice MF. carbonation slightly above average. overall, nice brown.
