Cola-colored beer with a thin foamy beige head. Fairly weak nose of cocoa, licorice, and roasted grain, but you have to search for it. Flavor is also light for a porter with similar characteristics as the aroma with some coffee added in. Overall, it seems a bit watered down--if I’m going to drink a porter, I want to drink a porter and this is a pretty tame version. Like the ABV, this porter is on the low end. Beer of month club. Pours a dark brown with a very thin head that vanishes quickly. Nose of a little coffee and roasted malts. Taste of some coffee and licorice - it is a little thin/watery, but overall a pretty good (if simple) and easy to drink porter.

Bottle courtesy of Lynn. Blackish pour frothy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, earthy, chocolate, little ashy smoke. Creamy palate. Metalchopz (3474) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 20, 2014
Purchased a mix pack on my trip to Maine. Pours a real dark brown colour with a beige foamy head and good lacing. Aromas of roasted malts with hints of nuts and coffee. Taste of yeast candy, mild roasted malts and good grassy hops. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, but overall a refreshing porter. GIJOE (1251) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - AUG 17, 2014
Pours coca cola colored with a thin tan head that's gone quickly. Nose is a sweet root beer kind of thing. Taste is mildly bitter and a touch earthy. Light body. Fizzy carbonation. It's okay.

From the bottle, this poured an opaque dark brown body with a creamy light brown head. It had an aroma of lightly toasted malt, licorice, and chocolate. The flavor added a taste of iced coffee to the mix. Just okay. beerandbeyond (708) - ISRAEL - SEP 11, 2013
12oz bottle poured into a tumbler.
Dark brown with a small dark beige head.
Toasted malt and coffee nose, with green grassy hops.
Black coffee flavor, a bit thin, lo-med bitterness, roasted malts, faint sweetness, dry and lacks some chocolaty depth.
Somewhat over carbonated, light-med body, decent but boring. rondphoto (4490) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Opaque brown-black with a large-bubbled tan head that remains as a good cover, heavy bands of lace. When judging this, let’s remember it is 4.2% abv, which says a lot about how much the brewmaster has accomplished. Taste is bitter malt with a touch of mocha and burnt toast. The flavor is particularly strong on the sides of the tongue along with the buzz from carbonation. I believe this is intended as a session porter, and it succeeds very well. otakuden (1783) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 21, 2013
Deep dark browns bordering on black. Clear. A thin broken film of khaki rests on top.

Dark fruits with roast along the sides and chocolate on top. Sweet smoke weaves in and out. Black breads infused with prunes.
Medium-light mouthfeel with a clean body. Dark fruits in the middle. Dry bitter and tart tannins of dark fruit skins along the sides. The flavor hits quick and finishes quick with not much of anything hanging around.
For a sessionable English style porter, she was alright but in no way anything special. I have tasted better.

Draft. Black pour with creme colored head that lingers. Nice malt aroma. Coffee and dark chocolate flavors with no sweetness.
