An orange beer with an extremely fast disappearing bubbly head. The aroma is sweet caramelic, and light notes of alcohol and hops, but also with a slight sour note - a little like sweaty feet. The flavor is sweet alcohol with powerful hop notes.

Bronze colour. Aroma is raspberry, butter, earthy hops – holy Ringwood! Candyish flavour. Sweet and fruity. Astringent minerally note. Finish grows more bitter, but not enough to save it. Based on this and other recent Geary samples, I think maybe they’ve lost control of their yeast. This is ugly.

Bottle. Poured a dark amber with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly diminishing. Average hop and malt aroma. Medium body. Moderate sweet and light bitter flavor with an average finish.

Lubiere (13992) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 21, 2006
An hazy orange amber ale with a thin white head. Lightly sprucey hops with light alcohol notes. In mouth, a dry IPA , not sweet, with very herbal hops, with the alcohol coming after, like drinking gin. Astringent. A tad unpleasant.

12 ounce bottle from Beer Run in Charlottesville, VA. Pours a golden color with a 2-finger head, nice head retention and lacing. Slightly grainy aroma with some citrus and hop notes. Taste is citrus and fruity hops. Medium bodied.

12oz bottle-pours an off white head and copper color with effervescence. Aroma is mild medium fruit, some spice. Taste is medium fruit, some spice/earthy/wood-hops-peppery, medium malt-a bit of molasses. Occasional. OK carbonation.

Sammy (12359) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 23, 2006
Not significant head, golden colour, a good floral and spice aroma and spicy aftertaste. The golding and fuggle hops are understated. Appropriate carbonation. Cross style to a winter warmer. mouthfeel on the thin side.I am surprised this was on clearance at Belmont Part Goods in Dayton, maybe it was last year’s, but it was good value.

Appearance: clear gold, fine off white head, streaks of drippy lace,
Aroma: lots of fresh floral and citrus hop aroma on a mostly dry crystal malt base,
Flavor: sweet crystal malt flavor with lots of hops, bitterness builds from the middle for balance and leaves a long bitter finish,

Deep copper with big, white head. Aroma of malt, hops, slight fruit and black pepper. Tastes malty, with subdued hops, slight spicy florals. Medium, non-inspiring finish. This one reminds me a little of a spicier Sam Adams BL.

Draught at Rattle ’N’ Hum, as part of a flight of beers, on January 30, 2012
Clear dark copper color, off-white head. Sweet, nutty, hair product, brown sirup taste. Nutty aftertaste. Moussy mouthfeel, medium dry bitterness. Sweet, nutty scent.
