This is part of a beer club. Had only one bottle but was decent for the price. Poured great and had a nice finish. Would do again. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 6, 2003
Bronze colour. Aroma is raspberry, butter, earthy hops – holy Ringwood! Candyish flavour. Sweet and fruity. Astringent minerally note. Finish grows more bitter, but not enough to save it. Based on this and other recent Geary samples, I think maybe they’ve lost control of their yeast. This is ugly. Styles (2014) - Lincoln Park, Michigan, USA - FEB 1, 2005
Until I looked this up I thought it was a pale lager. IPA? You got to be kidding. No aroma or flavor except for a little skunk. Glad I bought one bottle!! Thaichile (599) - 10aFly, New Jersey, USA - DEC 9, 2005
Bottle. Faint nose of hops with almost no discernable head. Pours light amber with a wannaabe IPA palate. Very thin and watery. A Winter Ale? malrubius (2864) - Springfield, Vermont, USA - DEC 19, 2008
12 ounce bottle in Duvel glass. Minimal aroma. Not sure what the hell is supposed to be going on here. Like drinking water from a rusty faucet. I might need a tetanus shot.

no aroma from a amber body with a small white head. Some hop biterness and some honey undertones and a touch of malt in the finish from a very thin body. No way you cold even come close to considering this an IPA. Imaena (2315) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - JAN 18, 2013
Bottle. Not one of Geary’s finest brews. When you have HSA as a winter stalwart why did you go and brew this? Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - FEB 6, 2005
Bottle: Aroma is a little off and mostly malt. Light caramel with just faint hops. Pours a transparent light amber with a quickly diminishing white head. Light malt up front with caramel and some other funky flavor that is really unpleasant. You can say it finishes hoppy, but it’s not a good hop flavor. As far as IPA’s that I’ve rated, only Redhook is worse. FROTHINGSLOSH (7697) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 26, 2007
My friend Matt brought this one to me from a trip to Maine. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a medium golden color with a small white head. The aroma was sour and tangy with not much good going on. The flavor was bitter, tart and a bit tangy. Not good at all. I was surprised to see it listed as an IPA as there was not real hop presence. 12 Oz bottle. Pours clear, dark brown with a white head. Aromas of vanilla and anice. Flavor is the same, but then very quickly very bitter. Medium body with a thin mouthfeel and average carbonation. Overall, subpar seasonal ale, with not very good beer flavors.
