Bottle at Papsoe’s - Thanks !! Clear watery yellow - no head. Fish, acid, vinegar, salty, freshness, nice sharpness, light wood notes, light licorice. Lovely. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - AUG 29, 2013
Bottle @ home (300mL) picked up at Wilbur’s for $14.99. New sake style tick and a point in RBSH3. Pours a very clear, just a touch yellow tinted appearance with no head. Sweet green apple, pear, sticky rice, a touch candy-like aroma. A little bland and watery but very smooth. A touch of booze on the finish but mostly just a light apple/pear, slightly grassy flavor. High boost. allmyvinyl (10613) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 26, 2015
Bottle at Craigs. Pours clear with no head. Aromas of pineapple, rice wine. Taste is yada yada yada, British airfield. Light fruit finish. KyotoLefty (10264) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 29, 2015
Taster. Spicy and light with nice, clean fruit. Pineapple and peaches. Crisp and clean, a bit sweet but a nice, peppery finish. Good. Ernest (7695) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 11, 2004
No head (still). Body is colorless. Aroma is light notes of grain, flowers, peach, apple, honey, and alcohol. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic. Light body, watery texture, flat carbonation, moderately alcoholic. I've had [cheap] sake a few times in the past, but this is my first serious attempt to review one. Figured I'd start with something reasonably serious but not terribly pricey. Seems to have slight elements of white wine, mead, and beer alike...I've had examples of each that were similar to this. This is not an exceedingly interesting or complex example, or so it seems, but it's quite pleasant and better than any sake I'd previously had. Giving an appearance score may be difficult with sakes, I expect, as a great deal are pretty much colorless...in what case would you give a 1 or 2, if it had dead insects floating in it?

Pours clear. Smells fruity and sweet. Tastes of rice, sweet fruit, some alcohol on the finish. thedm (6183) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - APR 1, 2007
This bottled sake from an online bottle shop poured absolutely clear with with no bubbles at all. The aroma was mild rice. The mouth feel was crisp start with a mild vinous finish that lingered well into the aftertaste. The flavor contained notes of mild vinous semi-sweet rice. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again. JK (6160) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - MAY 15, 2015
Clear. Aroma has alcohol and yeast. Alcohol in flavor as well. A little sweet but chemicals in the finish. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - AUG 23, 2016
Bottle poor at Japanese restaurant in Chevy Chase, MD. Clear as weater. Nose is of rice and floral notes. Clean and easy to drink. Dry in the finish. Enjoyable. Cornfield (5570) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - MAY 28, 2006
Clear as water, of course. The aroma is faint yet perfumy with grasses and melons. Smooth to drink. The flavor is grassy with melon and a touch of anise. A very quiet drink - until it hits bottom and the strong abv is felt.
