so i was at a hibatchi grill last night and i was complaining about how i dont like sake.the gentleman at the table next to us heard me and said "well ya just have not had good sake"so he bought us a bottle of this.i couldnt see the color but the aroma was very sweet.almost a watermelon/grape smell.i was surprised at how smooth it was with only a little alcohol burn at the end.more watermelon and grape in the taste,just like the aroma.i must say this was pretty good stuff Beerlando (3343) - Orlando, Florida, USA - AUG 14, 2007
Courtesy boboski. Served chilled. Clear, with faint, pale yellow hues. Aroma is sweet, floral, and yeasty. Sweet, rice syrup background in the flavor with floral highlights, dough, and faint citrus. Slick, full mouthfeel that is a bit cloying. Smooth swallow with a clean finish. Alcohol does not interfere. Sample from a Sake Flight at Fuji Jade Garden, State College, PA. This was interesting. Aroma carried a lightly phenolic or ester profile, as if in a Belgian yeast sense. Pours clear. In the mouth, this becomes more distinct, with some minerals, peppery notes, lemon rind and brandy-like mature fruit. This is all veiled by a heavy sugar content. This is dense and strong. 0.72 litre bottle bought at the brewery in Kyoto. Pale straw colour. Mild, slightly sweet and yeasty aroma. Peppery flavours, with some dark fruit, very warming alcohol, bready yeastiness. Bottle: clear, no legs. The nose is light but very dusty, like wiping off an old shelf into your face, along with that, there’s some apple and kiwi notes. The flavor is clean, mellow impact and a very brief tail. Minimul umami and a touch of alcohol. Good but disappointing for a junmai daiginjo.

Bottle @ home (300mL) picked up at Wilbur’s for $14.99. New sake style tick and a point in RBSH3. Pours a very clear, just a touch yellow tinted appearance with no head. Sweet green apple, pear, sticky rice, a touch candy-like aroma. A little bland and watery but very smooth. A touch of booze on the finish but mostly just a light apple/pear, slightly grassy flavor. L’intensità olfattiva è normale e la persistenza olfattiva è sufficiente. L’aspetto del liquido è velato. Il corpo è strutturato, con una struttura cremosa. L’aroma alla lingua è leggermente secco. L’intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è buona. Il gusto è piacevolissimo. Il finale è lungo, pulito e complesso. L’aroma in bocca riporta sentori di melone, banana, frutta, pera, mela verde e acqua di sorgente.
