Fin (10970) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 18, 2013
Bottle picked up by dad from Geltsdale Brewery, cheers dad. Consumed at home Sunday 17.08.13 Reddy brown pour with light tan head. I chilled this (not sure why) so aroma is difficult to pick up. Maybe as it warms ever so slightly perhaps I"m getting a little watery spent coffee grains. Touch chewy with some caramel and biscuit. Its one of yer’ fairly average twiggy brown beers as some would describe them. Its ok. A5 A3 T6 P3 Ov11 2.8

tfredvik (2055) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 1, 2013
Dark copper body with a small, beige head consisting of short-lived big bubbles. Quite strong aroma with burn notes, burnt sugar, stale coffee and cigarette. Hardy any bitterness in the finish, light to moderate sweet initial taste. Flavours follow the aroma. Quite light bodied, dry finish, soft carbonation. Nice-ish, but forgettable.

ClubGonzo (5685) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 30, 2013
Bottle from Lerøy Mat Galleriet, Bergen, shared with Foffern. Pours a deep bronze-coppery body with a small white head. Aroma is mild grains, nuts, caramel, spent filter coffee and hints of vanilla. Medium to thin body and medium carbonation. Half-decent.

larsga (7668) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 2, 2013
Medium yellowish beige head. Clear deep dark red body with
carbonation. Roasty earthy crisp bread aroma with cereal and
flowers notes. Dry-sweet earthy roasty toffee taste with grainy
rye crisp bread notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel.
Dryish earthy roasty grainy aftertaste with dusty wooden burnt
notes. Minty toffee notes, too. Lovely, vivid, complex, and
highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, Meny Strømmen Storsenter.)

Foffern (1983) - Bodø, NORWAY - MAY 8, 2013
Bottle shared with ClubGonzo. Has a clear reddish brown colour, and a small off-white head. Fine roasted notes in the aroma along with nuts, coffee, leather and some cocoa. The flavour stands out like a light version of the same with a small dose of vanilla. Mouth feel is watery and light, with a light bitterness. An approved bitter, but perhaps a little too light.

Mysan_brewing (60) - - APR 30, 2013
Light brown medium head, smells of thin coffee and caramel. Taste is like a light brown ale with sweet notes of vanilla and caramel. Aftertaste of coffee grounds. Not a bad beer considering it is a store bought beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

esp0r (2931) - NORWAY - APR 17, 2013
Bottle from Meny Manglerud enjoyed at home

Pours brown, quite dark brown in glass, beige head. Smells of roast, dark fruits, nuts and some hops. Moderate sweet, quite fruity, some yeast and dark fruits, a touch of roast as well. Moderate bitter, earthy hops. A nice ale, i like the roasty touch and the fruity aroma. High drinkability factor too; but a bitter? not sure about that
