UPDATED: MAR 11, 2003 This beer is the cheapest beer around and it is ten times better then bud, miller, and coors. this is not a great beer but when you can get a 30 pk. 9.99 with a rebate its a good every day cheap beer. After having alot of good beers this just sucks i had to lower my rating

This is one of those "cult beers," especially in the New York area, with people "growing up on the stuff." Frankly, I dont understand the obsession. Mouthfeel was soft, yet chalky at the same time. Moderate carbonation tries to make it crisp, but doesnt completely succeed. Light bitterness in the finish is about all it can offer. No major off-flavors to disturb, but no real "on-flavors" either. Just kind of blah.

Pretty good aroma in the right glass. Standard American aroma, hoppy/sweet. Big frothy head that lasted quite awhile and laced. Golden-amber color. Fizzy, watery palate. Weak and watery taste. Some sweetness but not all that appealing. Mild finish and after.
