Pours out a solid golden w/ a fake creamy head.Tastes like Budw...ought to.Decent brew for 11.99 a 30 pack...Better in bottles though(really?)Better macro-swill.What was this like when Genesee actually made it? The screamers are real people..beware(UGH!) Lizabeth (360) - east falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - JUL 5, 2003
Golden color, white head. Lightly malty, lightly hopped. Very smooth and drinkable and, also, very forgetable. kumite56 (473) - Cordova, Tennessee, USA - JUN 24, 2003
Light gold color. Rapidly diminishing white head. Somewhat malty taste with a hint of hopps. Good mouthfeel but overall just a little above the American macro average. Beware the next day after effects of this brew. Gearwar (56) - Rochester, New Hampshire, USA - JUN 24, 2003
Genny cream ale is a great tasting, cheap, cream ale. It costs next to nothing and still delivers a solid taste. One of my best buys. Sturgess (173) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 23, 2003
See Genesee Ale Rating, very similar to it, little creamy, less taste, more carbonation and head.

Had this in Rochester NY. Small head, somewhat fizzy. Crisp flavor, medium color. Not a bad cream ale. Steib (613) - Queen Creek, Arizona, USA - MAY 30, 2003
It's been awhile since I had a cream ale. Not missing much. Medium color, medium body, medium aroma. Overall, medium. Crisp, light not bad. Ernest (7817) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAY 27, 2003
Head is initially small, fizzy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is clear
medium yellow. Aroma is lightly malty (grain), lightly hoppy (flowers),
with a light note of DMS. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic.
Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter, slightly
unclean. Light to medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. More
bland juice, for sweet tooths. lunaticharness (183) - Torrance, California, USA - MAY 20, 2003
a decent kind of crisp flavor, was completely surprised by this extremely cheap beer, extremely creamy but not like im gonna puke creamy Cobra (1100) - - MAY 1, 2003
UPDATED: JUL 2, 2003 Not a bad beer at all, considering it's another macro brew. Smells sweet, like fresh cut hay. Pours out a darker shade of pale
yellow, with a nice, creamy white head that fades slowly. Some malts in the nose, with that classic American corn and rice
aroma. Not a bad tasting beer either. Certainly not the best, but good enough for the style. Has that certain cream ale tang to it.
It has a smooth mouthfeel, very creamy and velvety. I like this beer for many reasons, being cheap is not among them,
however. It's worth trying at least once in your lifetime. And at $11.49 for 30 cans, you can't beat the price either. Cheaper even than PBR.
