Smells like a dog. Came in a tall boy can. Was expecting something creamier. Crisp and golden.
UPDATED: NOV 21, 2017 Bottle. Light color and light, crisp. Citrusy and a little grassy. Refreshing, very light on the hops. rdixon77 (3021) - Georgia, USA - NOV 14, 2017
Used to enjoy these in the Vermont summer heat, not bad for a super cheap beer. Almost a lager taste. 17Beer (415) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 2, 2017
24 oz can. Aromas of bread and grass. Pours a clear bright gold with a big white head that is pretty persistent. Some ;lacingRound full malty flavors of bread and honey with a destinct hop finish that balances the sweetness. Medium carbonation. Dry mouthfeel. Super drinksble. It’s been around so long because its good. Scipio (1215) - Palatine, Illinois, USA - SEP 22, 2017
Pours a clear, weak looking yellow with a medium white head. The aroma isn't bad though it is light. It consists of hay, bread, and a little bit of grass and spice. The taste has has mild bitterness and sweetness. The flavors contained within are well balanced between bread, cereal, grass, corn, and spice. Everything here is more subtle, which makes this one very easy to drink. I find only just a hint of grain. Short and subtle aftertaste of spice. Its lighter in body and has a smooth texture. This was much better than I was expecting. ehaak26 (710) - - AUG 20, 2017
On tap at the Genesee Brewery. Tastes like an average ale with a nice palate.

2015 BJCP Category: 1C Cream Ale
AROMA: Corn-forward nose though sweet like cereal. Base malt is present, but subtle. No hop presence (none needed). Clean fermentation. 9/12
APPEARANCE: Very clear golden color (4-5 SRM). Sparkling. Fairly large white foamy head retains and laces quite well. 3/3
FLAVOR: Mild palette overall, though corn and base malt are about even in intensity. Slightly sweet cereal-like taste. Perhaps a background note of DMS (seems to have a minor oily/metallic note - but is easy to ignore). Faint spicy hop flavor and bitterness to offer balance. Clean dry aftertaste. 17/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-light body; medium-high carbonation. Crisp and refreshing. Easily sessionable during warmer weather despite being 5.1%[?] ABV. 4/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: While not as exciting as some of the craft interpretations of the style, this is a progenitor of the style and still exemplifies it many decades later. 9/10
TOTAL SCORE: 42/50
Tall boy can. straw yellow. smells like melon, peach and hay. soft carb, very thin, fades fast to a sweet grassy flavor. caramel flavor? Handypaul (581) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - JUN 21, 2017
Can. Drank from the can. Weak aroma of hay and a barnyard, very lightly bitter, flavors of what I imagine trash to be, thin texture, light body and a brief, thin finish. Much worse than I remember. kaser (6382) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 17, 2017
Way better than expected. Draft pour at twisted spoke. Golden with white head. Smells and tastes like a cream ale - weird!
