2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Po urs a pale yellow, fluffy creamy head. Savor how it looks in the glass, thats the most enjoyable part. I drank this stuff out of cans, and it really gets quite foul once it starts to warm at all - so drink it cold. Ice cold.
On tap at the Genesee Brewery. Tastes like an average ale with a nice palate. sinfull (1675) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - AUG 13, 2017
Clear , golden color. Medium-sized, white head . Sweet corn and hay in aroma. Malty taste , with nothing more than corn sweetness. Drinkable on summer.

2015 BJCP Category: 1C Cream Ale
AROMA: Corn-forward nose though sweet like cereal. Base malt is present, but subtle. No hop presence (none needed). Clean fermentation. 9/12
APPEARANCE: Very clear golden color (4-5 SRM). Sparkling. Fairly large white foamy head retains and laces quite well. 3/3
FLAVOR: Mild palette overall, though corn and base malt are about even in intensity. Slightly sweet cereal-like taste. Perhaps a background note of DMS (seems to have a minor oily/metallic note - but is easy to ignore). Faint spicy hop flavor and bitterness to offer balance. Clean dry aftertaste. 17/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-light body; medium-high carbonation. Crisp and refreshing. Easily sessionable during warmer weather despite being 5.1%[?] ABV. 4/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: While not as exciting as some of the craft interpretations of the style, this is a progenitor of the style and still exemplifies it many decades later. 9/10
TOTAL SCORE: 42/50
Tall boy can. straw yellow. smells like melon, peach and hay. soft carb, very thin, fades fast to a sweet grassy flavor. caramel flavor? Handypaul (566) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - JUN 21, 2017
Can. Drank from the can. Weak aroma of hay and a barnyard, very lightly bitter, flavors of what I imagine trash to be, thin texture, light body and a brief, thin finish. Much worse than I remember.

Way better than expected. Draft pour at twisted spoke. Golden with white head. Smells and tastes like a cream ale - weird! PatrickYEG (39) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 12, 2017
Not much taste to this Genesee Cream Ale, got to say I'm disappointed... leaves a Coors aftertaste in my mouth

This beer gots extra points for nostalgic reasons. It exemplifies true Western New York, blue collar beer.

Pale gold pour, fast disappearing head. Malt, a bit of corn, fairly light body and light carbonation. Downing a few of these with a huge plate of Anchor Bar wings used to my weekly tradition in Buffalo. Cheers to my misspent youth!

Originally rated on 1/23/2009. It pours a mid yellow, mid carbonated body, not much head. Aroma and flavor of sweet malts, no creaminess to speak of. Overall its passible but not great.
