24 oz. can labeled "Genesee Ice" with 5.5% abv. So many variations on the same beer! This pours foamy, more skunk than the Genesee Beer from Wednesday. Still, a clean yellow body under puffy foam. But the same cheap lager corn smell of any beer I’ve had with "Ice" in its name. Taste has corn edges, some malt, but sweetness over character. Exactly what I’d expect for a 99¢ Ice tallboy. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - JAN 11, 2011
Nose is muted, unoffensive, mildly corny and thats about it. The can wasnt as cool as the one pictured with a polar bear on it - I would have rated it far higher if that was the case. The flavor is light, somewhat sweet and adjuncty, not unpleasant but not that good also. It is kind of just whatever. I’d drink it again if I had to. Tallboy at Christmas gathering. Pretty decent pale lager and at a great price point, for sure. Pale yellow with fizzy head. Nose is a bit corny though not overly DMS. Some booze and some malt. no hops. On taste, pretty inoffensive, perhaps even pleasant. Pretty standard beer, though. italarican (1606) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 20, 2010
The best part about this is the awesome new can for "Mountain Brew Beer Ice," with it’s slogan "A very cool brew!" followed by an odd series of tiny boxes of little stickmen playing various sports. I couldn’t figure out one of the sports, but I think it’s double dutch. The stuff inside was fairly standard macro, with plenty of corn. Reid (2626) - Salem, Oregon, USA - NOV 22, 2010
24 oz can from Grocery Outlet( were else!!)..Salem
says 5.5% alc.
Im not even going to attempt to pour this i will drink it as nature intended!
Colour..the cans nice!
Aroma..sour corny, cardboard..you get the picture.
Taste is nt that bad really..better then the aroma..but basically a corn based cheaplager..no hops .
Palte again not bad for the style..pleasantly carbonated at least.
Overall a cheap beer that you can gulp down if ice cold.
99cents a 24 oz can

New to Tennessee Market for a few weeks now. 24 oz silver can, 5.5% abv. Genessee Ice. Clear, pale yellow body with a fading ring of white head. Aroma of cheap grain and grassy hops. Flavor is cheap grain and grassy. Finish is cereal, sweet malt, thin, watery. A point overall for volume, price, and somewhat drinkable if you’re going for a Natty Ice/Beast Ice replacement and are in college or, no offense to anyone, homeless. zathrus13 (1776) - Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA - NOV 14, 2010
Can. Pours yellow/gold, with a white head. Aroma is pretty much all grain. flavor is grain, alcohol, and a little sugar. Bif (2346) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - OCT 9, 2010
22 oz Can- Pours a clear golden color with a big frothy head that fades quickly to some lacing. Grainy aroma with some sweetness. Mild crispness with a bit of sweetness. Has a grainy flavor thoughout. Light body, quite smooth.Goes down easy. best when ice cold. Can’t beat the price if your on a tight budget.

Mountain Brew Ice...
Pours a muddled brown copper with some frothy, foamy head that quickly dissipates. Smells like skunky taint and cardboard soaked in malt liquor. flavor follows suit. pretty tough to drink, and gives a serious rotgut feeling. Yum jmulv (336) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 12, 2010
Absolutely putrid. I had the Mountain Brew Beer Ice (redirected me to this page). Taste is unbearable in all ways. At 5.5%, it’ll get you to your goal quicker. Choke it down if you can (and don’t have ANY other options).
