473ml can pours a pale golden color with a small white head that leaves no lacing on the glass. Aroma is light grains and grassy hops. Taste is like the aroma. Light to medium body with modest carbonation. Just another typical macro lager swill. Not enjoyable. ronaldtheriot (1992) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JUL 17, 2012
Genesee Ice has a medium-to-thick, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, deep golden appearance, and a lot of lacing left behind. The aroma is of faint, semi-sweet grain husks, and the flavor is of sweet malt and grain (corn, most likely), and biscuit, with a shade of hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is light to medium, and Genesee Ice finishes crisp, clean, refreshing, mostly dry, and very drinkable. This beer had a lot of body, and is remarkably smooth. I think it’s very good. RJT

24oz can, classy, listed as 5.5%. Wattery, clear yellow with foamy white head. Typical, Sour grass, tinny. Doesn’t taste so bad but it is in the sweet spot of funky, heavy cheap american lager. flavorful but wish it wasn’t. Could be worse? Sampled from a 24 oz can this beer poured a golden-amber color with an enormous fluffy yellow-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy corn with an undertone of cooked cabbage. The flavor was sweet and tangy corn and artificial sugar. Medium length tangy and corny finish. Light to medium body. Not good. Pour from a 24 oz can. Medium amber brew iwth sudsy off white head. Aroma of corn with vegtal overtones. Taste follows aroma - sweet corn / grain with a sweet vegetal skanky finish. Sweet all around, and not in a good way.

UPDATED: MAY 20, 2012 99c for a 24oz. Yellow rich swilly appearance. Aroma is like peanut shells, fingernail polish remover and urine. Rough bitter palate. Tastes like the machinery it was processed within, or the nether regions of a robotic skunk. Part of me thinks that this is the first batch of beer they make after cleaning everything.. thus resulting in mega unintended adjunct. Not recommended in the slightest. drowland (9052) - Georgia, USA - MAY 3, 2012
5/3/12. "Ice" beer that’s only 5.5%? Well, here we go. 24oz can... why did I buy this? Plain creamy corn aroma with touches of grain. Unoffensive but plain flavor with some corn, sweet apples, and more cream. Goes down pretty decent for an ice beer, but then again, it’s pretty low ABV, so it’s more of a pale lager, like the style says above. Meh. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - APR 23, 2012
Can shared by maniac at Slutfest 3, Richmond, VA, 4/21/12. Pours a clear golden color with a thin frothy tan head. Aroma of grain, corn, grass and fusel alcohols. The taste is grass, grain and corn. Astringent. Medium bodied. Butters (4176) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - APR 21, 2012
Sampled at Slutfest 3. Thanks Maniac. NOT! Clear light yellow. Flat overly sweet grainy buttery flavor. Nothing special here. And not enough alcohol to be justified as an "ice" beer in my opinion. Metalchopz (3515) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - APR 4, 2012
Originally rated May 2005. Mild sweet malt aroma with slight alcohol. Quite smooth for a 5.9% ABV ice swill macro. Nothing offensive here. Pale golden amber colour with lively carbonation. Not bad head, with some lace. Long sweet aftertaste with mild sourness. No sign of corn in this one. Last ice beer I had must of been like 10-15 years ago... and had a bad recollection of it. This one is not bad at all.
