Drank from a 24oz can I got at the supermarket for only $1!!Bif (2343) - St. Charles, Missouri, USA - OCT 16, 2010
Appearance: classic pale lager appearance: BRIGHT yellow color, extremely clear, very bubbly. Surprisingly large, foamy, sudsy head (evaporates almost completely and leaves no lacing)
Aroma: Smells like a Molson or Labatt macro lager. Some kind of chemical funk to it. Not a skunkiness like Heineken, though.
Taste: Starts out very neutral with almost no taste at all. Obviously, very watery and bland with perhaps a touch of corn sweetness found in adjunct macro light lagers like this. As it warms it becomes more and more sour with a metallic finish. It eventually becomes undrinkable (so drink it fast!)
Mouthfeel: for such a light beer it’s a little thicker than I’d expect. Quite tepid body - so it doesn’t tear up your tongue with carbonation.
Drinkability: Initially very sluggable, but as it warms and becomes more sour it’s a challenge to drink. And at 3.6% ABV it’s the kind of beer you can slam can after can.
Overall: Hey for only $1 it wasn’t much of a gamble but I definitely wouldn’t buy it again. Stick with Genny Cream Ale.
22oz Can- Pours a pale golden color with a big foamy head that fades to nice lacing. Has a very mild grain aroma, sort of musty. Prety bland taste, very light sweet grain flavor. Light body, crisp and somewhat refreshing.
Goes down smooth & easy. Typical low budget lawnmower beer.

Generic light adjunct sweet nose. Can is rather boring and in need of new graphics. Looks very generic. Flavor is light adjuncty sweetness and a light clean finish. Body is minimal and so is character. Should have went with Pabst, Ranier, or High Life. WakeandBake (549) - Greenville, Michigan, USA - JUN 24, 2010
Can. A pale straw yellow color body with a quickly fading two finger head , lively carbonation . Aroma of corn beer , faint hops and something lightly sweet . Flavor is corny , straw and light hops , light body , watery mouthfeel , not too bad but nothing to remember . chandler0201 (650) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - JUN 23, 2010
Big frothy head at pour but quickly dissipates. Smells like corn and metal, your cheap beer alternative to Bud and Busch Light essentially.

Genny Light is brewed with Rochester, NY in mind. Rochester water is pure and delicious, crisp and clean... I love the sound a Genny can makes when you crack it open and the aromatics take over... Not only is this a great beer, but it’s American, and I do love America. basspro76 (426) - New York, USA - FEB 22, 2010
High ranks overall as this was my go to beer in college. Unlike beast and natty, this beer was at least somewhat drinkable. yobdoog (1888) - Kingston, New York, USA - DEC 23, 2009
Clear yellow big white head, vigorous pour. Aroma light and corny and flavor is bland. Not much carbonation and some corny sweetness. drowland (9057) - Georgia, USA - NOV 25, 2009
Had these lovely delights right from the can. Wow! This is bad! Tastes like cream corn mixed with rice... I’ll pass next time.

This beer inspires a gag reflex in the back of my throat; bad smell and worse flavor. Unexpectedly bad.
