UPDATED: JAN 23, 2007 The aroma is faint and unappealing. Lets see, there is fuel with a hint of corn and metal. The appearance is light pale gold with a small head. The flavor is watery with metal in the fore and corn malt in the finish. Notice a trend here? The palate is thin but not as watery as I was expecting. Even so, this beer is pretty much what you would expect.

The beer reeks of hydrogen sulfide. That’s the smell of rotting eggs, by the way. We bought a case; after about 3 each we were nearly vomiting though still completely sober. The day after everyone had nasty-ass rotten egg farts and couldn’t eat. If you want to punish someone, leave a case of this shit on their doorstep.

I bought a 30 pack for a WICKED price of 9.99 up in NewHampshire at a PACKIE. This beer had no real flavor, but it gets the job done. All i gotta say is GO PATS and GO SOX!!!

Can. Pale yellow\gold with a white head. Aroma of corn, grain, sweet malts. Flavor is smooth and better than most macro light brews. Thin body, nothing good, but drinkable.

Do you like the taste of Land O’ Lakes Butter and carbonated oil? Well then genny Light is for you. Do you like the taste of steel, grain alcohol and Genny Light? Then Genny Ice is for you. Do you not have a brain and enjoy the taste of sewage? Then Genesee NA is for you. This beer is filthy.

I got a six pack of pounders for i think four dollars at the six pack shop on Peach. Just a skunky skimming of regular genny i assume.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2006 OK, so it’s a macrobrew. It’s cranked out by the last of the independents at an employee owned brewery. The beer itself is fine, and carries a lot more flavor than the usual suspects here. Unlike Bud Light and Coors it looks, smells and tastes like beer. Compared to the other light macrobrews it screams quality and value.

People only say this is worse than Bud lite, Coors light, Keystone and Natty when they know how cheap it is. Can’t hold a candle to Miller Lite, but not bad for a really light beer. Not really my choice of brews, since I like beer that really tastes like beer, but Genny Light beats most of its targeted competition. That figure of 3.6% alc. is indeed what High Falls says. I had to check, since that seems ridiculously low. Okay to drink for the sake of drinking beer, but if you want some alcohol you might want to look elsewhere.

12 oz. can. As far as light beers go, this one is not that bad. You can keep Bud Light and the Silver Bullet. At least this beer has some flavor and looks a bit more like regular beer. Not up to the caliber of Sam Adams Light, but definitely a step up from the macro brew garbage.

Three years ago, I attended numerous bars in the area comparing this beer to Bud Light (the most popular beer in the US), and Coors Light (second most popular). Sure enough, I, like over half of the people who tested them, chose Genny Light. Noone was aware of the beer until after they made their decision. Don’t rate your beer on what other people say or because of the price. One person says campfire, then the word campfire becomes a popular word on here. Taste the beers without using the biased beliefs you already have.
