On tap at The Independent Distillery in Tucson, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out lots of coffee upfront, accentuated with a touch of cocoa. Flavour is very dry, with dark cocoa powder and moderate coffee notes. Rather dry and bitter, but it has a smooth palate. Decent. derA (91) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - MAR 22, 2017
nitro tap @ tap & bottle: listed as 5.5% abv american stout, not 7.0%. Nose is roast aromas all the way, not a hint of burnt grains nor weird coldbrew aromatics. Distinct wet grain bag smell, taste is sadly a little watery and light. Finish is again fairly light and water but covered in quite a bit of coffee and roasted aromatics. For me this doesn’t quite come together, with a little bit more body it would be the perfect refreshing low-abv stout but in its current form I cannot get away from the watery feel. Listed as Nitro through Barrio at Strong Beer Fest. Coffee smell. Taste is mocha coffee with some black coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, low carbonation, and low foam. Marheb (5786) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 8, 2016
(En fût à la brasserie): Une base de céréales intéressants agrémentée d’un mocha aiguisé, chocolat au lait et d’une finale piquante torréfiée. Arthree (48) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 20, 2015
On tap at barrio’s. Dark sparkly cola color with nitrogen head. Some burnt paper smell and coffee on the nose. A bit of sweetness, minerals, hoppy bitterness, not a lot of mocha or java. Weird woody burnt paper bitter aftertaste. Not pleasant. Probably a bad choice of hops and not enough roast. Bleh.

Light chocolate, mocha, malt aroma. Creamy, milky, bitersweet coffe/chocolate taste. A little light in the taste, could have more punch, but pretty enjoyable maley1 (1297) - Calgary, CANADA - JUN 30, 2014
Dark brown pour with small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Taste of chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, hint of caramel and a roasty dry cocoa finish. Full bodied, medium carbonation, creamy mouthfeel, good stout! kcorum10 (393) - Idaho, USA - DEC 28, 2013
Growler from Barrio. Pours a dark brown with medium tan head. Aromas of coffee, roast, malt, and some chocolate. Flavors of some mild bitterness and sweetness. Not a bad beer, but I thought it was a little flat and missing something. I do, however, look forward to trying more from them.
