Bottle 33cL from Delhaize Gent @home
Pour pale, clear golden with a large white frothead, heavy retention. Sticks to the surface of the glass. The aroma is yeasty, floral hops, citric hops and hay. Also slightly metallic. Finish is slightly malty.
Taste is mildly bitter with a dry, slightly sweet and bitter aftertaste, that lasts long.
It’s got a medium body with a thin texture. It’s got lively carbonation and a long finish.
Butelka 330ml bączek pite w domu. Złote, piana dość mocna oblepia szkło.Aromat słodowy, w smaku także słody i zioła a w tle masełko niestety, pomimo to pijalne piwko. Zilverenmaan (265) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - SEP 29, 2017
On tap. Solid, clean, nice, hoppy (slightly oily even) belgian ale with soft, lingering, bitter aftertaste. Simply decent... PJef (4) - - SEP 1, 2017 does not count

Bright gold color clear, compact white head, bubbly, fading, fizzy, light persistence. Aroma is sugary/candy malts, typical esters light fruity and juicy, some lemon zest, decent grassy hops. Fluffy texture loaded of CO2. Finish clean, dry, aromatic. Well structured body balanced taste, alcohol comes up early weigh a solvent action, feels like 7+. Classic belgian ale. Good Blonde Belgian Ale, among many others, well crafted, yet not outstanding

Sometimes you get those beers that scream belgian ale. And then there’s Gentse Strop, that just sorta mentions it. Which isn’t really a bad thing.
The nose is slightly strawy, with a bit of funk. Yeasty, some dried fruits. The smallest hint of banana. Bit herbal. Sweet.
The taste is malty, with some sugary sweetness and little bit of a bitterness in the end.
All in, not a bad beer. Also not a great one. I need to check this one out again, because I just realised this bottle is a bit out of date. Davros (3258) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUL 23, 2017
Pours gold with a large head.
Nose shows straw, doughy wheat, light Belgian notes.
Flavours include hay, spicy and grassy hops.
Crazily high carbonation. diabel (1721) - Aarschot, BELGIUM - JUL 9, 2017
Clear blond body. White frothy head. Soapy, yeasty aroma. Moderately bitter flavour. Quite unbalanced. johndoughty (5521) - cheslyn hay, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2017
Bottle. Yellow with a medium head. Quite sharp slightly sour flavour. A bit acidic and not really my taste but still reasonably drinkable. hawthorne00 (4071) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - JUN 3, 2017
Bottle. Somewhat hazy gold with a thick white head that lasts OK and laces well. Floral aroma with nectarines, dough, oranges. Sweet and yeasty/ fruity with a finish that dries out a bit and is moderately bitter and herbal. A bit like an attempt at an Orval knockoff with no Brett. Quite good, refreshing.
