Not a lot of flavor, but no complaints about what's there. The appearance doesn't do much for me. An OK beer.

Strong aroma and taste. No long lasting palate, but hey! It's a lager. Really nice to have one or two, but I think not the right beer to drink the whole evening.

Very average. Lacking in large flavor while still vaguely hitting the style. Something different from the big US boys but ultimately forgettable.

A good beer. The first few sips are generally rough to handle, but after that it tastes great. Do not drink this beer to get drunk. It is notorious for hangovers, and it will give you excessive raunchy gas the day after. Higher rating if not for these side-effects.

Very good, dependable beer. The flavor is not very complex, but it is pleasing, and there is no noticeable aftertaste. Nice caramel flavor.

When comparing this beer to any other corner store beer Killians comes out on top. I dont care if its Irish, or used to be, or who makes it now. Purchase 1 six pack of every beer at your local corner store and none are as good as this. It does not compete with the higher priced beers but for a SOLID 6 pack under 10bucks, this is the heavy weight champion of a good tasting, caramel like, rich thick dark colored nice looking bottle beer.

UPDATED: JAN 31, 2004 100% Guaranteed Hangover. I'm not sure what's wrong exactly, but when I didn't know good beer from bad, I hated this beer. I still don't like this beer. Gotta give it credit for a good label, brew color and bottle, though.

Can this be from Coors? More Ale like when introduced; now lagery. Still, unlike any American macro-brewery pisswater. Almost up to European quality. Light body, but flavorful. Good nose and very nice color. If you are hurting for cash, short on time and prefer European, this is a good value.

All show, no go! The packaging is great. It looks like a great beer but unfortunately, what's in the bottle doesn't live up to the hype. I remember when Coors launched their original Killian's, back in the early 80s...it was an ale! Obviously, Coors didn't sell enough so they took it back to the brewery and re-tooled it into a lager. The result is a bland, watery, flavorless mess. There's just no depth, no malt feel and no complexity to this product. Hint to Coors, George Killian Lett's family brewed ale not lager. This is nothing like an authentic Irish beer.
