This is a beer that people in the US drink to make themselves think that they are drinking "premium" beer. If there is nothing else available, I will default to this, as it is available everywhere. Nice amber color, thin head with big bubbles that quickly disappears. Watery, but at least there is more "taste" than other Macro stuff. This beer tries to be "just different enough" so that it doesn't turn off the mass public.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2018 Bottle. It poured a clear Amber red color with a white head. It has a caramel and bread malt aroma with some light fruity notes. The taste has a little off flavoring to it and is mildly sweet. Ok but not great.

a good beer taste, if you ignore the odd aftertastes really a shame, for such a good start to end so poorly. used to drink this a lot in college....now.....not at all I look forward to the day when the brewers just try to brew good tasting beer and leave all the bells, whistles, knitted aprons, spices, flowers and pine cones to toy trains and interior decorating.

Used to be one of the better beers before craft beers happened. But That was a long time ago. Now it is one of the more boring ones out there ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Red style beers have not been my favorites lately. When I first got into craft beers they were delicious but I am not enjoying them at all. This is just ok ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From old tasting notes. Nice copper red color with a medium tan head. Mildly sweet toasted malt aroma. Sweet toasted malt flavor fades quickly and becomes salty, then gassy. Light dry finish and aftertaste. Thin and watery.

Medium amber color with medium head. Aroma is mostly roasted malts. Smooth and doughy on the palate. Taste: mostly corn, grass, and malt. A step above typical adjunct lagers, but nothing special.

Rich, clear amber to copper color with a short-lived head of white foam. Traces of dried dark fruits and caramel malt overall. SOme dry grain and sweet floral and honey characters dancing around.
