UPDATED: MAR 14, 2011 Had on tap. Nice reddish color. Aroma was actually pleasant. Quite surprising as I had no idea it was by Coors. Actually quite good. Very smooth.
Wet leather aroma. Bright white head with excellent lacing. Aqueous. Anise? nohopspleez (75) - Georgia, USA - OCT 31, 2017
a good beer taste, if you ignore the odd aftertastes
really a shame, for such a good start to end so poorly.
used to drink this a lot in college....now.....not at all
I look forward to the day when the brewers just try to brew good tasting beer and leave all the bells, whistles, knitted aprons, spices, flowers and pine cones to toy trains and interior decorating. Jyrsa (959) - - OCT 28, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 28, 2017 Bottle. Semiclear copper. Red berries, spice, malt. Proper red ale flavour with a medium body and lively fizz. Long caramel finish. higgsbison (264) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 20, 2017
Used to be one of the better beers before craft beers happened. But That was a long time ago. Now it is one of the more boring ones out there

My first beer! Off the shelf beer but I love it. Hard to find in restaurants.

Red style beers have not been my favorites lately. When I first got into craft beers they were delicious but I am not enjoying them at all. This is just ok

From old tasting notes. Nice copper red color with a medium tan head. Mildly sweet toasted malt aroma. Sweet toasted malt flavor fades quickly and becomes salty, then gassy. Light dry finish and aftertaste. Thin and watery. Westy1130 (109) - New York, USA - APR 25, 2017
Medium amber color with medium head. Aroma is mostly roasted malts. Smooth and doughy on the palate. Taste: mostly corn, grass, and malt.
A step above typical adjunct lagers, but nothing special. PugUglyBrewer (791) - - APR 22, 2017
Rich, clear amber to copper color with a short-lived head of white foam. Traces of dried dark fruits and caramel malt overall. SOme dry grain and sweet floral and honey characters dancing around. scarletfire65 (1507) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 23, 2017
Bottle at Max’s Diner in Buffalo, after Mr. Gugino’s funeral :( Clean grainy aroma. A very nice red lager, sweet malts, grassy hops, not much complexity, but really drinkable.
