On tap at Belmont Station. Colour...clear amber with a thin head. Nose...pinely hoppy and lightly floral. Palate...tangy, quite hoppy and a hit sweet, with slightly dank hops and boiled citrus sweets. The back palate is sweet and bitter and the finish is long piney. Sample at brewery. Best description is that this is a cranked up Lucille. Orange and citrus hop attack with solid malt backbone. Didnt get to see the ABV but it’s smooth and if Lucille is 7.2 I’m scared to know. raphael (1254) - Portland, Oregon, USA - DEC 13, 2014
Aggressive aroma of wood, plums, alcohol. Khaki head on clear dark amber. Flavor more staight out bitter--grapefruit, with hints of peaches & caramel. Keeps the tongue busy, bitter finish. ACHops (1582) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 22, 2014
On tap @ Chuck’s 85th. Pours orangish dark amber with thin white head. Aroma is sweet nutty caramel malt and piney floral hops on the back. Taste is similar: big roasty caramel flavor, sweet throughout, and bitter piney hops on the back. Lingers lightly bitter on the finish. Some nice hop flavor, and plenty of bitterness, but this mostly tastes like a maltier Lucille. Maltier than Kick Ass Blaster too, fwiw. 10% ABV is well hidden, this tastes like an 8-9% at most. At first blush the alchol-y aroma combined with the hazy brown appearance does not tip this off as an all around winner. But, as they say don’t judge a beer by its color! Once you take a first sip the crisp taste combined with great fruity hop notes and at a game changing 10% abv this is one to take home and enjoy.

Draft at coopers. Pours clear amber. Aroma is full of caramel, with resinous hops playing a prominent but supporting role. Taste is pretty sweet caramel, with spicy, piney, sharp bitter finish. Full body, syrupy, soft carbonation. Overall: awfully sweet for my taste. BuckeyeBoy (7663) - Boise, Idaho, USA - DEC 16, 2013
On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a crisp amber topped with a white head. Aroma is floral citrus and rich malts. Taste is as the nose lots of bitter hops and some caramel sweetness. crackedmachine (481) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 2, 2013
Clear copper-amber with initially thick but quickly receding eggshell head. Big aroma of pine, citrus, light caramel. Flavor mirrors aroma...hoppy, sweet, delicious. Heavy, but 10% is well hidden. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - APR 28, 2013
Amber in color, clear with a thin head. Nice hops flavor and finish. Awesome taste and I was loving this big double IPA. Dogbrick (13010) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Sample at the brewery tap room. The beer pours amber-orange with a medium thick off-white head that dissipates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, malt and citrus. Full-bodied with flavors of resiny hops, roast malt and grapefruit. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering citrus and hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
