Had off tap at wob. Very smooth and hidden 8.3 abv. Medium low liveliness. Big milky chocolate flavor up front which mellows into a dryer and we’ll balanced middle and finish. Not an overall exciting imperial, but a solid choice if your in the stout mood.
On tap at Craft Beer Bar Marciero. Pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is milk chocolate roast malts and some ashtray. Taste is more of the sweetness roast and chocolate. beastiefan2k (3979) - HdG (past: NYC, KS, Rain City), Maryland, USA - FEB 11, 2015
A few samples at the brewery. A thoroughly disappointing imperial stout. Relatively light and flabby. Ashy and chalky, flavors very retrained to the point of being watered down. Industrial and stale. Muted yeast characteristics. Frankly, I would never have guessed this was an imperial stout. mcberko (17815) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 9, 2015
On tap at Belmont Station Bier Cafe, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma is dry, bringing out notes of cocoa, chalk, and dry malt. Flavour is sweeter, with notes of caramel, chocolate and roasted malt. Really well-balanced, with just enough caramel sweetness to make this interesting. Very good. Draft - Dark chocolate and roast malts. Deep jet brown with a decent beige head. Rich chocolate note, vanilla notes and a nice light Roasty finish. Quite nice. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - MAY 20, 2014

Dark, thick brown. Viscous feel. Rich, burnt flavor. Just a little stale tasting, like an imperial stout you’ve been holding on to too long. Pretty good. after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - JAN 27, 2014
Draft at capitol cider. Pours jet black with a dense and creamy dark tan head and light lace. Big sweet chocolatey nose, also some light ethanol unfortunately, a little sweet and sharp. Sticky thick body. Gooey sweet chocolate and ethanol mid palate. Long sweet finish. cstuartj (1020) - Washington, USA - JAN 10, 2014
on tap, pours pitch black, nice small tan head. nice coffee nose, some alcohol, clean burnt sugars. dry mild finish. good stout. ACHops (1582) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JAN 5, 2014
Growler from uh... my local Shell station? Yep. Haven’t yet seen this on tap around Seattle. Pours slightly thin inky black with medium mocha brown head. Aroma is dark roasty malt with chocolate and oak in the background. Taste is rich smooth chocolate malt with just enough hops to balance and an oaky dry finish. Pleasant coffee and chocolate notes on the aftertaste. Just a bit thinner in malt body and flavor than most imperial stouts; but plenty of flavor here. And obviously no barrel time either. A few things to nitpick but this is quite tasty overall. Most of all, big kudos to Georgetown for stepping out there with a Russian imperial stout - they sure take their time with new styles but nail it when they finally do.
