PotjeBier (2813) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 2, 2016
On tap @ Gasthof Euverum, a stones throw distance from the Gulpener brewery, so should be really fresh. Deep ruby redbrown pour. Nice dense off white to beige head with good lacing. Aromas of dark malt, caramel, light chocolate and red fruit. Retronasal its sweetish, red fruit, caramel. Flavor is moderate sweet, caramel malts with hints of bitterness and roast. Medium bodied. Light roasty bitterness in the finish. Clean and technically ok, but quite dull.

R4N5H (889) - NETHERLANDS - NOV 24, 2016
On tap at the Blooming Hotel, Bergen NL on 22-Nov-2016. Dark browna beige coloured head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, sugar and spices. Medium body and carbonation. Sweet and heavy. Lots of caramel, chocolate, molasses, dark fruit and clove. Bittersweet sticky finish. OK, but a little too sweet for my palate.

Svesse (7964) - Hsselby, SWEDEN - OCT 16, 2016
(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 14 Sep 2016) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with caramel, chocolate and roasted nuts. Malty taste with notes of caramel, chocolate, prunes, raisins and a gentle spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, but hardly exciting. Quite enjoyable.

Gedronken op het terras van Bieze, roodkleurig, korte schuimduur, smaakt naar anijs/ drop, ruikt iets fruitig, te weinig bitter, niet te zoet

EvNa (155) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 3, 2016
UPDATED: JUL 3, 2016 Bottle. Color ruby red. Very thin caramel coloured head. Taste: Caramel, cherries, sweet, metal. No bitterness at all. Aftertaste metal, a bit chemical. Drinkable, but definitely not a favorite dubbel beer.

Moutig, caramel-aroma.
