dark fruits, slightly sour aroma, mild, yet potent. nice.
flavor is dark fruits, fruits, faint caramel, figs, red berries, faint orange or lime, ends sweet balanced, dry, dark fruits. a real nice dubbel. gmonroe10 (243) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 19, 2009
Bottle. Pours a caramel brown with a large light brown head. Aroma is lightly spiced but predominat tone is light caramel with some sweetness following. Taste is not so grand- feels like it has a lot of potential but is too thin on the mouth. Still sweet and slightly caramel, short slightly bitter finish. But light. bottle, bought in Italy 2007. Clear dark brown colour. Flavours of roasetd malt, malt, caramel and chocolate. A good one. RichardGretton (4770) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2008
Bottle. Dark brown beer with a strong head and a warm roasted aroma. The flavour is rich and roasted with lashings of dark berries. Overall a reasonable beer. oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 20, 2008
Shared this one w/ SkyCop32. Picked up at the Ramstein AB BX. Pours a hazy medium amber. Aroma is lightly malty, hoppy, yeasty. Flavor is moderately sweet, alcoholic, roasty dark. Not nearly as good as some of the other Abbey Dubbels I’ve had recently.

Red-brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma has caramel malts and some dark fruits. Flavour is very plain, of caramel malts and brown sugar. Have to agree with HermanW, not much taste on this one. chilangoglobal (105) - Mexico City, MEXICO - AUG 30, 2008
I found the aroma bit spicy, but entire. Dark colour with a white and frothy head. Taste is bit alcoholic with notes of roasted malt, Creamy body. HermanW (1069) - Coevorden, NETHERLANDS - JUL 30, 2008
Dit smaakt niet naar een abbey dubbel. Er zit een beetje weinig smaak aan. Borresteijn (7111) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - JUL 23, 2008
On tap. Reddish brown colour, nice beige head. Aroma of caramel, dark fruits. Flavour is sweet, brown sugar, dark fruits. A bit thin, but an OK dubbel.
