Bottle. Clear dark brown. Big light brown good lasting creamish head. Aroma is sweet with barley, toasted malt, caramel, hops and some dark fruits. Fair mouthfeel. the flavour has well toasted caramel, bitter hops, bread, some dark fruits, bit of syrup and some graininess. Dry sweet toasty finish.

pivnizub (10614) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUL 5, 2007
Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep amber coloured, small, but quite stable creamy off-whit head; solid sweet dark-malty nose with coffeeish/roasted traces; moderate to robust sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, softly carbonated; drier bitter and roast-malty finish. A well balanced and tasty Dunkles, that has some relations to a Porter.....

KimJohansen (10492) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - FEB 10, 2008
[Tasting @ yespr] Clear brown with tiny short lasting head. Sweet malty aroma with fruity and caramel notes. Sweet and light roasted flavor with caramel and fruity notes.

Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 7, 2008
Beautiful dark, red-brown with a nice, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and grapefruit. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of roasted malt, caramel, hints of coffee and a dry grapefruit. It’s nice and smooth, and the dry and slightly bitter grapefruit makes it refreshing too.

MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - MAY 30, 2007
(swing top bottle) Clear, mahogany colour with a thick and slowly lacing, off-white foamy head. Sweet and slightly toasted malt aroma with dried fruits, light notes of caramel and a shy but still present hoppy blend. Light-sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a moderate to soft carbonation. Slightly roasty taste, slightly doughy and caramelly; bitter-sweet, slightly roasted, minimal-fruity finish with light hoppy notes. Okay-ish.

Skinnyviking (9570) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 5, 2008
Bottle. High fluffy but lasting off-white head. Clear and beautiful ruby body. Sweet but distinct barley malt aroma with dried fruit notes. Flavor dominated by caramel otherwise pretty sweet with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short aftertaste.

Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - AUG 31, 2012
bottle from Fristo in/near Coswig. Deep brown colour, large and creamy beige head. Intensively malty with a lovely roasyt touch, shy smoky hints, hints of nuts and dried fruit. Shy hoppy finish. Perfectly balanced and delicious and very moreish Dunkel.
