Pre pour thoughts....True to the name, it’s ghostly. No date of any kind on the bottle. No ABV anywhere to be found. Travlr (25556) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - JUN 11, 2016
Pours a very golden color. About two fingers white head. Good lasting power. Retention is okay, mostly clumpy chunks remaining. Pretty good lacing. Nicely carbonated.
Aroma is weird for an IPA. Seems to be more melon than your usual IPA. Also seems to be less citrus. Hops are more floral, strange. Unexpected, uncommon, and I’m unsure....
Taste is odd also. While the aroma is floral, the taste is herbal and earthy. Yes, I taste some resin, but it’s not pine. I do taste some citrus peel, but it’s not prominent. Other than that, a little nutty, and decent caramel sweetness. It’s balanced well enough to hide the bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied. The alcohol is well hidden, of course it’s no where to be found. Not as bitter as 87 IBUs. It has an earthy aftertaste.
Overall, this is strange. Sure, I appreciate the effort to be a little different. Maybe they’ve created a new style. Maybe it’s a big joke. I can’t say, but this is so far off a regular IPA, I don’t know what to say about it. It’s not so good. I would not recommend it. I will not buy it again, and I’m discouraged from buying anything else from this brewer.
Sample at Hattiesburg fest. Clear deep amber color, white head. Aroma of citrus and light pine. Taste is lightly bitter and earthy summer fruit. OK. Leighton (21886) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 29, 2016
Bottle in LA - picked up at Walgreens in West Memphis. Pours clear orange-gold with a frothy, white head. Rindyborange in he nose, some crispy bread, lightly toasted caramel, tangerine. Medium sweet flavour with more bready malts, hints of berries and white grape, oily pine, melon. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with light resin, further piney notes, sun-kissed biscuits, bread, ripening citrus. Decent IPA. northropfrye (3662) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - MAR 28, 2016
On tap at BB Kings Memphis. Orange body. A little hoppy and bitter with a nuttiness as well. Pretty mediocre IPA

Decent aroma if a bit mild, mostly malt with a bit of citrus. The flavor is bitter with just a bit of the malt coming though. A little thin and light bodied. snoworsummer (5917) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 14, 2014
Growler from the brewery. Shout out to Andrew! Pours very clear copper with a fizzy off white head. Tastes like malty, nutty hops. Creamy nutty grapefruit with a musky, lingering aftertaste. Smells like grapefruit, roasted nuts, cans toasted caramel. sonnycheeba (6214) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 14, 2014
Growler from brewery. Pours clear amber with creamy white head. Aroma is biscuit and cereal malts, light floral notes, light funk, and faint orange peel. Flavor is dry malts, sharp bitterness, light citrus, and some pine; dry, bitter finish. Medium body and carbonation. bourbon2beer (9) - Oxford, Mississippi, USA - APR 12, 2014 does not count
Nice finish at first. Very smooth. A little harsh after most of a glass. Great legs. Worth a repeat for sure. mithrilbalrog (24) - Ithaca, USA - JAN 6, 2013
Pours golden with a thin tan head. Aroma of spruce with light toasty caramel. Predominately sweet, complimented by a significant bitterness. A very good IPA overall, well balanced.
