COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Ghost River Golden has a mellow, refreshing character, accentuated by Memphis soft water. Munich and caramel malts give this beer enough sweetness to balance the crisp, dry finish. O.G. 1048

Bottle at the hotel in Jackson - picked up at Walgreens, West Memphis. Pours clear yellow-gold with a fluffy, white head. Simple bready pale malts in the nose, a little straw. Light sweet flavour with hints of floral hops, crispy cereal, white bread, a little meringue. Light bodied with average carbonation. OK balance on the finish, with more crispy cereal, pale bread, biscuit, hay. An easygoing golden.

Bottle courtesy of a stranger at WOB. The beer pours a clear golden color with a medium thin white head that evaporates steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grassy hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of bready malt, caramel and mild hops. The finish is mildly bitter with a grassy hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Cunningham (7453) - Halden, NORWAY - MAY 23, 2015
Golden pour with a rather short lived white head. Not even a white layer. No lacing. Looks like a cider. Caramel malt dominated aroma. Well not to inviting start. Medium body and an ok carbonation. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Caramel malty and faint fruity flavor. Tasted better than expected. But will not chase a new one. Just a state tick.

Draft at Flying Saucer Memphis. Yep, its golden alright. Could be Miller Lite. Uber-malty, if solid and sweet. I guess this is a decent alternative to the macros, solidly made, but dont look for a super beer. (#4053, 12/18/2010)

Sampled at Schlafly Repeal of Prohibition festival. Pours golden / yellow with a dense off-white head. The aroma has grainy pale malt, a hint of chalk and is on the powdery side. Medium / light slick oily body with mild sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with a light toasted malt, powdery notes and something that seems like a spice giving it a dullness. The finish is mushy with non-descript flavors. Fair.
