Idiosynkrasie (6714) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - APR 8, 2016
650ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey, deep golden to amber colour with small to average, thick, creamy, fairly lasting and lacing, white head. Nuttily, pale malty aroma with piney hoppy overtones, minimally sweaty, resinous notes, surpressed citrusy notes of lemon and grapefruit. Taste is pale malty with hints of almond and nuts, piney hoppy overtones with a papery touch, citrusy hints of lemon and grapefruit, sugary interludes. Sadly not the freshest example, nevertheless somehow or other with DIPA punch and characteristics, very robust malty backbone, intense and concentrated hop flavours. Massive if not "Gigantic".

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy amber body with a thick off-white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of red apple, toffee, peach and biscuit. Flavour of caramel, pine, stewed tea and orange. Light peppery spice on the finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A classic American IPA. Lovely beer.

Bomber from local mom and pop shop in Milwaukie OR. Amazing that even small "7/11" type shops in Oregon have good beer. Pours a slightly cloudy yellow...thin head. Nose is combo of a bread-y malt with tropical fruits; taste is pretty smooth for a hoppy IPA. TASTY.

tdtm82 (1700) - Essex, ENGLAND - MAR 1, 2016
SX Bottle Share, Chelmsford Ale House, Essex, 1/3/2016. White lacing. Aroma is cats piss, a tad socky and sweaty. A bit of oxidisation is seeping through. Taste is signature Simcoe, too much crystal, some orange peel. Dry. Nice drinkability. Not bad.

weordie (949) - Tyne & Wear, ENGLAND - FEB 29, 2016
Pours that cloudy brown that signals a good malt backbone with a frothy head. Minimal hop aroma with a good biscuit maltness. A nice malt flavours but a bit watery.

Bottle from Brewfest. Light copper withlasting white head and lace. Very mild spicy bready woody piney aroma. Bready toasty nutty malts and piney woody spicy herbal hop bitterness. Medium full body, a little chewy. Seems pretty old school average to me.
