Pouring hazy with a rocky head, the aroma is light floral & citrus, not as intense as expected however. The initial taste has a medium body with a light sweetness, kiwi and pineapple fruits dominate, but the malt backbone shows well enough. The taste then draws down into a pleasant, deeper, danker, catty aftertaste. Not quite as bitter as I may expected given the the branding, but this is a fine beer, and coming in a 660ml bottle is always a plus! There is no born on or expiration date on this bottle, so it may be tasting better in Portland, but its drinking just fine here in Leeds.

Draft. An amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of flowery hops, citrus fruits, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, citrus fruits, hops, and peaches, leading to a bitter finish.

Mostly a classic left coast IPA with a touch more of a New England juiciness to it. Classic hops Cascade, Centennial and Simcoe lend a predictable and enjoyable melange of citrus, grapefruit and dank resin to both the aroma and flavor. Body tastes a bit fuller than the appearance projects, palate is a touch softer than average with a pronounced juicy/fruity character accompanying the bitterness from beginning to end. Very nicely done. Id like to see this rebrewed with a lighter crystal malt and unfiltered.

Bottle. Hazy orangish amber with an off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, toffee, and pine. Tastes lightly bitter. Medium bodied. Somewhat mediocre IPA.

Draft at growlers - pours a tinted gold with a thick, inviting white head. Tropical hops on the nose, pine resin, pineapple. Drinks very smoothly, medium bodied. A bit slick at times but it pulls in a rich, full fruity flavor with a spicy bite. Good stuff!

Pint at Atomic Cowboy. This is a pretty good looking IPA. Its amber with a pretty clear body and a solid white head. Plenty of rich notes of grapefruit and pine come through in the aroma. The body is pretty full with good carbonation. A touch of specialty malt imparts appropriate sweeter flavors for balance, though overall it finishes relatively dry. Good grapefruity hops provide tons of flavor, though it comes across at times as grassy and astringent. Overall, this is solid and Id like to revisit it.

A medium hop tasting and medium hop bitter ipa that is well balanced but probably tasted better before transatlantic transportation

Cask days 2016, dry hopped with Citra and simcoe hops. This is pretty much what you?d expect. Big citrus, no malts, hints of pine. Pretty straight forward west coast ipa. Nice, but nothing extraordinary.
