COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewers in the midlands of England would boil their barley wines ales for longer times to intensify their flavors. In making Massive! we used only British Halcyon pale malt and boiled for eight hours, giving the beer a deep ruby color and rich malt flavor. Heavily hopped, Massive! is a beer that can be enjoyed now for its intensity, or after years and years and years of aging.

Bottle shared by ippopotamo36 (thank you Alberto!). Ambrata carica con riflessi rossicci, schiuma media persistente. Al naso sentori di caramello, frutta rossa sotto spirito, zucchero filato. In bocca dolce allattacco ma discretamente bilanciata, lunga e persistente, alcol. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Ottima.

This brew ("Beer #40") pours a clear dark ruby-amber color with a medium thick off-white head that diminishes gradually to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, caramel, fruit and hops. Full-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, ripe fruit and earthy hops. The finish is slightly syrupy with a malt and piney hops aftertaste. Pretty good beer all around.
