In short: A roasted Belgian dark ale with a good attenuation. Good beer.Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - OCT 20, 2013
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed a few months after receiving it from mcberko, thanks Matt.
The look: Black body topped by a medium beige head.
In long: Nose is earthy, burnt cake, phenols presence, cloves-ish spiciness, light minty notes. In mouth the first thing that stroke me was the mouthfeel, light but very lively Belgian style mouthfeel, melting like cotton candy in your mouth. Taste of fluffy chocolaty cake, roast, light prunes notes, burnt nuts, mild leafy hops presence. Currently classified as a Saison on ratebeer, not too sure about the style, although the beer probably does have a good attenuation compare to ‘normal’ Belgian dark ales. A beer that is probably not named after Bloomington, Illinois.
Dark brown pour with a tan head. The aroma has some chocolate, toasted malt and nut notes. The flavor is similar. I get a lot of very dry chocolate as well as some nuttyness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - JUL 22, 2013
From bottle. Black with dark tan head. Aroma is dark chocolate and dark malts, with hint of hops. Taste is sweet dark chocolate milk and some very subtle farmhouse fruit notes. Chocolate flavor lingers, with a smooth finish. pdx76 (651) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 22, 2013
Bottle - pours out pitch black with tan head. Nose of hot chocolate, coffee, and malt. Smooth and thick mouthfeel. Taste of chocolate, sweet malt, cherry, and slight hint of smokiness. Easy drinking though it does have somewhat of a boozy finish.

Brown body with tan head and stubborn lace. Roasty malts, hearty chocolate and toffee backbone. How is this a saison again? More of a porter / strong ale blend. I dig it. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 26, 2013
(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clear medium to dark brown, fine dark tan bubbles. Nose of chocolate malt, fairly rich, pretty spicy, roasty. Taste is roasty, chocolate malt, dark fruit, fairly rich, semi-sweet chocolate, nice finish and long lasting on the palate. jercraigs (10731) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 10, 2013
2013-05-31. Black body with a tiny beige head. 3+ Aroma of dark malt, very light spice and herbal notes. 6++ Flavour is interesting, sweetish dark malt with a lightly spicey not quite herbal undertones. Relatively sweet. Average bodied palate, light carbonation. Okay. Bottle at Mondial de la Biere 2013, Montreal rejtable (2819) - Ontario, CANADA - JUN 4, 2013
Pours cola with little head. Noting cofee, some cola and a solid tart background. Light tartness and light sweet in the tastes with medium bitterness. Nice blend of flavours. czar (9338) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 4, 2013
bottle at mondial de la bière, mtl. pours dark brown with a low beige cap, some retention. chocolate, shy saison yeast or impossible to express itself underneath these chocolate and spicy layers, some minerals, lactose, lager-ish esters. prickly and inoffensive carbonation, light to medium body. not really on style but still enjoyable.
