Melanoidin-tinged mahogany body with a ring of head, but mostly bereft of carbonation. Moldy cherry cordial alcohol nose, enjoyable, but reserved. Hints of candi dance around the edges. The body starts off with a pungent, and repugnant, vegetal flavor. Funky and garbagey, and unfortunately, the experience never really improves all that mucj from there. daknole (11048) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - MAR 27, 2013
Light amber pour, moslty a white head. Flavor is sweet, honey, candy sugar, malty, bready, a hint of yeast. Solid brew. douglas88 (9797) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 26, 2013
On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark copper color with a medium off-white head. A big fruity and nutty nose. Dark malts, big dusty yeast, Belgian candies, some heat, berries and massive sweet malts. Finishes dry. Good. bhensonb (15972) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 18, 2013
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours nearly opaque dark brown with a foamy/frithy(!) tan head. Aroma has a lot of chocolate, but there’s some fruity ester as well. Near full bodied. Flavor has lots of chocolate, lots of dark fruit, and some earthy "Belgian" aspects. Finishes a bit earthy/dirty chocolate, with dark malt and enough hop (I think it’s hop) to make it towards the dry side. This is a tasty, good, interesting and very nearly unique beer. Good on them brewers.

Bottle with Carla from Taproom. Pours mahogany brown with minimal tan foam. Smells of raisin, candi sugar and graham cracker with a hint of alcohol. Tastes sweet with hints of raisin/prune and ends with somewhat bitter date flavor melding with alcohol. CapFlu (5132) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 10, 2013
(22oz bottle) Purchased from Hillside Liquors. Surprised that this is a Belgian Strong as is has many barley wine properties. Very fig and deep malt flavour. Is there any Belgian yeast in here? Very tasty. Good roasted malt, leafy green fig, young iodine inflicted malts, minor coffee. Good. Crit (4102) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 4, 2013

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark mahogany with light head. Aromas of brown sugar candy, roasted malts, and ripe plums/raisins. Flavors of plum skins, resin, burnt sugar, and roasted malts. Light bitter, dusty finish with a hint of spice. Petite quad? Maybe.Good enough to have with apple pie. But missing the body and depth of a real quad as a stand alone sipper.
