Draught at St. Augustine's, Vancouverdouglas88 (9797) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 18, 2017
Cloudy orange-golden color. This has probably been served from a pitcher because it has creamy head and it's almost flat. There are no real malt qualities to talk about, it's moderately sweet, sugary, the hop is a bit orangey, the final is astringent, metallic, dirty.
This has been disappointing.
Bomber. Pours a hazy orange color with a large white head. A big citrus nose, oranges and tea. Very flavorful, marmalade, some pepper, medium bitterness, some robust sweet tea notes. Soft. Very smooth. A bomber disappears with alacrity. raphael (1303) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 19, 2017
Beyond the fine beer hear, I love their label art and sense of humor. Gigantic may be the smallest brew pub in Portland, pub-wise, especially in wet cold weather..
this beer shows their control. the aroma si leather, bitter sparkle, caramel. The alkcohol is hidden; this beer has good body. the flavr is resin with a hint of orange, caramel, fairly restrained. balanced finish. j12601 (13304) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 13, 2017
On cask at the brewery. Pours a softly hazed orange amber with a medium sized white head. Soft wheat and fruit on the nose, mango, a bit of papaya, a touch of fruit. Toast, soft mango and fruit, light and smooth, quite easy drinking for the ABV. Toast and a bit of sweetness. Slow sweetness, fruit, a hint of bitterness.

Bottle. Pours orange amber with a thin white head. Hoppy aroma of pine, citrus and grapefruit. Flavor was lightly sweet and quite bitter with citrusy hops, pine, caramel, orange and grapefruit.

22oz bottle pours a hazy orange lacing white head. Nose is not entirely appetizing, quite honestly, extremely heavy soap, almost industrial, some kumquat, a little under ripened tomato, some pine needles. Flavor is better, thankfully, quite a bit of honey, some blonde caramel, orange, pine, some herbs, lightly vegetal, some dried grapefruit. Full bodied, sticky, bitter finish. slowrunner77 (13206) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 11, 2014
"(Sigh). Good brewer that Travis took us to in Portland in January (had in June). Unfortunately, this beer may be that old. But you know what? DATE YOUR FREAKIN BOTTLES!!!!!!!& Potential, but so much cardboard. Looks nice, feel is nice, flavor and aroma completely lacking." Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 16, 2014
In short: A well balanced big golden IPA that doesn’t overdo anything. A good beer that taste like many others.manuelMTL (240) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 6, 2014
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh soon after purchase.
The look: Clear golden-amber body topped by a medium off-white head with good retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: The hoppy nose of medium intensity is as floral as it is citrusy (apricots and friends). A substantial body, plenty of carbonation and a mouthfeel that is a bit more doughy-chewy than usual for a clear IPA. The beer is well malted, a malt bill that is very much toasted cookies with some caramel. The citrusy-floral bitterness is just enough to balance everything out. Alcohol is not particularly well hidden but it is not bothersome either. A medium drinkability. certainly not a refreshing IPA but it doesn’t feel heavy either. A big IPA where nothing is overdone, no off-flavors, overall quite clean, but also been-there-done-that, nothing special. Anyway, can anybody please mail me how many calories I burn if I manually open 6 bottles of beers per night burn, I’m trying to build a counter-argument to a point my wife is trying to make.
From 650 ml bottle. Hazy amber colour with thin white head. Grapefruit and pine aromas with a strong balancing bready sweet malt note. On the tongue it?s a lollypop caramel sweetness with lots of grapefruit and orange zest flavours. Hoppy bitterness is there too, but it stays in the background. Alcohol is well hidden. Medium carbonation! Solid IIPA! VTHopHead (1513) - Seymour, Tennessee, USA - APR 5, 2014
22oz bottle - Pours a dark amber in color with a fairly big off-white head that stuck around and produced some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is hoppy... pine and floral. Flavor is classic West-coast IIPA... hoppy spiciness with a hint of citrus. Medium bitter finish... Good!
