Awesome pnw hop scent of citrus and some herbal/pine, flavor follows, gets a little hot as it really warms up but a pleasant dipa. pdx77 (1483) - Oregon, USA - MAY 6, 2013
On cask at Lardo East. Orange brown hue. Caramel, citrus hop aroma. Really sweet hop bitterness, like caramelized citrus. Quite easy-drinking and balanced for an Imperial. Sarlacc83 (2287) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 17, 2013
22oz bottle from Belmont Station.
A: Good semi-translucent copper with a thin ring of white head. Good legs, and it looks pretty calm sitting here in front of me.
N: Lots of wholesome, healthy hops. Pineapple, pine, mango, and earth. Biscuit and rising dough. Grapefruit is rounding this one out. It’s very well balanced and it’s a very pleasing scent.
T: A sweeter, tropical hop bomb, which is just the way I prefer it. There’s a roundness of the sugars mixed with a touch of bitterness from the hops. Can spike parts of the mouth with the hop sting.
M: Heavier body with some noticeable alcohol. Has an appropriate level of carbonation in that the bubbles are lively, but they’re not pop-rocks all over my mouth.
O: This is an excellent representation of the style if you’re looking for something which hits all around the bases instead of focusing on one single aspect of a DIPA. These are my favorite types of the style. kathouse (1894) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - MAY 30, 2013
Pours a cloudy orange with a thin head. Typical Northwest hop aroma. Citrus, pine, and a touch of tropical fruit. Lively carbonation mixed with a medium body. Nice pungent hop flavor finishes with mild bitterness.

On firkin at Lardo east in Portland. Colour...medium gold with no head. Nose...boiled sweets (esp tropical fruits), hop resin, ponderosa pitch and needles. Palate...light on the CO2 (firkin), then a shot of pineapple infused sugar sirop, followed by peach and pear compote, dried papaya and mango, a lovely tanginess on the soft palate and a lengthy finish of floral hop essence. Gotta get some bottles of this one! MarinaMarket (254) - POULSBO, Washington, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Aroma of beer. Awesome body & carbonation. Clear as can be. Great head retention, simcoe & citra flavors. Very well balanced and super drinkable. I love you Gigantic. Tasted at 50F. Zeswaft (1773) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 9, 2013
These dudes at Gigantic really know how to brew some kickass beers. This has a big citrus hop aroma. Smooth and creamy texture. Flavor is monster citrus hops with a heavy malt balance. A little alcohol on the back end. Damnnice. Dogbrick (13036) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - MAY 19, 2013
Sample from firkin at the 6th Annual Rogue Firkin Fest at Green Dragon. The beer pours a clear amber color with a medium white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and roast malt. Medium body with a moderately bitter citrusy hops character and notes of malt and pine. The finish is hoppy with a fruity aftertaste. Pretty good overall. mcberko (17854) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 24, 2013
On tap at the Alibi Room, pours cloudy golden orange with a medium beige head. Aroma brings out resinous hops, pine and caramel malts - great nose. Flavour is pungent, with strong notes of piney citrusy hops, some grapefruit and other light tropical fruits, and a thin caramel biscuity malt backing. Very hoppy, with very little malt backing but just enough to balance the body - leaves a medium astringency. Excellent stuff.
