On tap at beer tent in Winona, Minnesota. Alcohol was lowered to 3.2% which was unfortunate. Aroma was of malt, light caramel, and basically no hop bitterness. Flavor was quite watery with light malt and hop characters. Easy to drink beer but nothing to buy again. Drink a real beer because this is not one. phishpond417 (2088) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 4, 2008
This beer pours a nice amber body with a plentiful white head. Nice creamy texture with plenty of caramel aroma and taste. It was a pretty nice beer for the price. BeMerry (39) - Fairfax, Virginia, USA - MAY 4, 2008
Bottle. Pours dark amber, small brief white head but nice lacing to the end. Aroma of fermenting yeast. Taste is slightly sweet to start, then metallic with caramel; finishes sour and tarry. Mouthfeel is thin. wilkie (1208) - Raleigh, North Carolina, USA - FEB 16, 2008
Bottle, purchased at Trader Joe’s in Cary, NC. Pours copper/amber, with a medium whitish head, and some lacing. Aroma is malty, with some sweet caramel. Flavor is somewhat similar, with a slight malty caramel taste at the beginning, and then a decent hop-dry finish. A little thin, but I am surprised that the 4.2 abv doesn’t taste more watery. kennydiaz (362) - Manahawkin, New Jersey, USA - FEB 7, 2008
NICE AMBER COLOR WITH A MALTY TASTE. A NICE MILD AFTER TASTE. A LITTLE BETTER THAN AVERAGE BEER.

A great name and a cool label. Too bad the beer inside the bottle is watery and bland. Drinkable yet highly forgettable. AOF (306) - Naperville, Illinois, USA - AUG 12, 2007
Copper color with some deep amber highlights. Nose is sweet and nutty with a bit of caramel. Light to medium body. A tad bitter in my opinion, it kind of clashed with the aromas. jmikolich (1486) - North Ridgeville, Ohio, USA - JUL 29, 2007
12oz bottle, copper color, not nearly dark enough for amber, but this is a pleasant surprise, palatable by me and enjoyed by a lot more people, this light caramel colored beer is nice to drink with meals and easy to share with friends. twindadplus2 (743) - Wisconsin, USA - JUL 20, 2007
No amber color here, mine poured a coppery red with a small off-white head. Sweet malt aroma with a hint of bread dough. Tastes of nutty malt with a toasty, slightly bitter finish. Medium bodied with a slightly watery feel at times. It’s not bad and it’s also definitely not a pale lager. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - JUL 17, 2007
(Bottle) Pours an amber color with a little bit of a fizzy head. Aroma of sweet caramel. Taste is much of the same, and somewhat one-dimensional. No off flavors, but nothing too exciting. Definitely not a pale lager though...
