Bottle. Dark amber with a medium head that diminished quickly. Medium aroma of hops and malt. Medium body. Medium flavor of malt and spice with a short finish.

Drake (13647) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 10, 2009
12 ounce bottle from Trader Joes in Short Pump, VA. Pours a clear copper color with a medium head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma is grainy toffee with a bit of nuttiness. Taste is caramel, toffee, bread and a nutty finish. No real hop notes to speak of. Medium bodied. Decent beer.

Dogbrick (12918) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JAN 2, 2003
Another 77 cent beer courtesy of Trader Joes. This isnt nearly as bad as Frugal Joes Ordinary Beer, but it isnt winning any awards either. Pours nice enough, a dark orange with a medium thin albeit quickly dissipating head. Quick lacing. Aroma has a hint of hops. Flavor is fairly bland with a somewhat sour finish, which is too bad because it kept the beer from being solidly average. Dont bother.

slowrunner77 (11917) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 27, 2016
old school TJs beer from back in the day - just filling in backlog. Light malt and toast with little hops presence. Light in body bordering on watery. $1 single was worth while on occasion.

Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 5, 2007
Bottled. Clear lighter amber pour with a tall cap of rather creamy off-white head. Soft caramel and faint tart lemony-wheat notes on the aroma giving an easy and inviting aura. Flavor was of lemon-accented sweet caramel and pale malts... mild floral and wheaty bitterness. A tad rough around the palate and grainy, but maintained its composure respectably.. lighter-bodied. Decent drink.. the "Pale Lager" category doesnt appear accurate.

Strykzone (7305) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - NOV 15, 2008
Clear amber with a one finger tan head. Good retention. Aroma is caramel and grain. Lots of lacing remains on the glass. Earthy, dry, roasted flavors. Metal. Dry bitter aftertaste. Moderate effervescence.

Braudog (6674) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - DEC 7, 2006
Bottle found at Trader Joes. Orange-amber with a pillowy head. Not much of an aroma to describe, maybe a whiff of caramel. First swallow isnt bad ... moderately rich caramel malt. Bit of an apple-like flourish. Decent-enough brew right down the center of the amber beer lane.

ben4321 (6412) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - FEB 23, 2010
Location: 12 oz bottle from Trader Joes (Short Pump), 2/23/10

Aroma: Nose has some caramel malts, bread, corn, and earthiness
Appearance: Pours a clear, dark orange color, light lace from a thin head
Flavor: Taste has some sweetness, lots of malty flavors, minimal hop presence
Palate: The body is light-medium, carbonation is fairly high, and the duration is quite short
Overall Impression: Overall, this one is a fairly average beer by all accounts. The taste is OK, the nose is OK, the look is OK, and the beer is OK. I dont really have much to add to that, nothing special, but drinkable.
