On draught at Bailey’s Taproom 2/15. Light saison with yeast flavors but a distinct cranberry finish. Hint of sourness.
Draught. Not much in the way of aroma but a little spiciness and cranberry. Flavour is more cranberry. Finish is cranberry. This is a fruit beer, not a saison. And I see it is listed as a fruit beer. notalush (5874) - Denver, Colorado, USA - DEC 15, 2011
Tap at Bailey’s - 2.50 for 10 ounces, fuck yea - pours hazy straw with a pinkish hue - nose is earthy cranberry tartness, a bit of muskiness, wheat, light sweetness underneath - flavor is bracingly tart, bordering on sour (this may qualify as a sour ale) - lovely whole cranberry flavor - a mild acidic punch at the start awakens the tongue for this - middle through the finish is refreshing, tangy, lemony - light and refreshing - I like it a lot. Pint at Sixteen Tons. Poured a light red/pinkish hue with a very small white head and no lacing. Smelled of yeast, coriander, pepper and mostly cranberry. Taste was much the same, the cranberry was way up front. All the Gilgamesh brews I’ve had have been very refreshing, but they don’t really taste like beers.
