Super clever beer name. How come nobody else thought of that? Dark amber, not much nose. Sweet, caramel, bit fruity. Not picking out much hop.

22oz bottle. Pours a dark ruddy amber, smell some sweet booze and caramel, vanilla. Taste the same, traditional scotch ale, I’m not getting much of the late hops. If anything it feels weak and watery. Not bad, not great. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - OCT 1, 2016
[24/12/15] Bottle from Clackamas Town Center: Dark brown body. Nose of malts, caramel and brown sugar. Taste is malty, bread, plums. Sweet in the finish. Dogbrick (14461) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - AUG 13, 2016
Sample at the Salem brewpub. This beer pours a hazy brownish-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes gradually to a dense film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, ripe fruit and caramel. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops, fruit and a bit of earthy hop. The finish is dark fruit and malt. Decent overall. Toffee aromas, somewhat metallic, caramel, soft raisin. Hazy red-bronze with a mostly lasting off-white head. Malt-forward, nutty notes, toffee flavors, subtle herbaceous hops. Medium-full bodied.

Aromas of raisin, some mandarin orange, sweet caramel malt and minor milk chocolate. Creamy light biege head and thick red rusty body. Flavors of light smokey malt and cocoa with some light raisin and minor apple. Smooth on the palate. jgb9348 (6732) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JUL 15, 2015
Deep bronze and brown coloured body with a very nice ruby glow and a thick, three centimetre tall tan head - this looks great. Aroma of caramel, toffee, cream, alcohol, light yeast, a touch of metal and some minor pit fruits. Medium-bodied; Slightly watery up front with a large caramel presence and a noticeable toasted malt flavour, all with not much hops and not much complexity. Aftertaste has hints of fruits, some subtle malt and a smattering of yeast and metal - nothing really to show for the nice smells. Overall, a pretty poor offering after having such a great look and smell - this one just didn’t taste good and had absolutely no depth and complexity. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Made in Oregon in Portland (PDX Terminal C), Oregon on 05-May-2015 for US$5,25 sampled at home in Washington on 14-July-2015. seehaferb23 (292) - - MAY 14, 2015
