2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
(Can) A hazy orange/caramel color with a big rocky beige head. A very sweet nose, treacle, spun honey, cookie dough, with a hint of hoppy resin.
Sweet, thin, a bit tinny. A disappointing effort from this otherwise solid brewery.
Can. Pours murky orange with a small white head. Aromas of sweet malt, bread and fruit. Flavours of sweet malt, caramel and grass. Thin body. Light bitterness. mrjez (633) - Osaka, JAPAN - JUL 14, 2016
Can. Pours a slightly murky copper, off white head. Aroma of cardboard and caramel malts at first, opens up a little to reveal some orange. Sweetened biscuit malt flavour, light honey, decent orange marmalade hop taste. Gently carbonated, medium body, low bitterness. Pleasant enough English style pale. thellgren (1079) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JUL 10, 2016
0.33 l can from a foodstore in Tokyo. Appearance is orange, cloudy and a big nice head. Taste has sweet malts and hops. Taste has more malts than bitterness. This might need more hops. Well, the can was very cold, so drinking temperature was probably not the optimal one. On the other hand, this is Tokyo in a hot summer day, where you drink your beer cold. Pours dark orange from a can. Mild nose of malt and musk. Bitter and sweet with some barley. petewhitley (568) - Nagoya, JAPAN - OCT 17, 2015
caramel, citrus, amber, cloudy, frothy, light sweetness, medium sourness, medium body, creamy. Smells nearly exactly as it tastes: citrusy sweet and impressively sour. The tartness unfortunately covers up most of the nuance from the hops. Having said that, it’s very drinkable as are all of the brews from Ginga Kogen.

Can from Hasegawa Liquors. Cloudy orange amber colour. Fairly standard ale, pleasant sweetish malts caramel, correct bitterness. Ok but somehow lacking excitement or a hook to get you to get another. jc1762 (1472) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 29, 2015
Poured into a taster showing very low filtration, a dense/cloudy honey with dried apricot in appearance, sparse white foam around the edges.
The nose shows very subtle dried apricot.
The palate is well carbonated and light bodied. A lot of light tart steel tank/copper notes. Light malt backbone to support the beer but generally not a lot except a simple English style pale ale. Personally, I find nothing to dislike about this beer. In terms of Japanese craft beer, this is surprisingly competent. Tonkun (1296) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 10, 2015
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2015 Can. Cloudy beer pour with a nice white head. Citrus, caramel, passion fruits. Medium body. Smooth carbonation. Fruity body with a bit unbalanced bitter finish JonMoore (2067) - Loughborough, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JUN 14, 2015
Can - cloudy amber with slim white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Taste is like it says on the can, bitter and sweet; malty, caramel, some citrus hops. Medium body, moderate carbonation. OK. Tyche (5) - seoul, SOUTH KOREA - APR 21, 2015 does not count
